If you give the ball away in midfield as much as we do your defence will suffer. We have to keep the ball better and be clever about our possession; when to play it, when to keep it.

Hmmm, that means Lallana in midfield, or, it means 442 which is unlikely cos we play 433

If the club answered every speculative question they'd never get anything done. And if they did come out and back Adkins then we'd all be saying it was the proverbial kiss of death. Everything that's been said and written about adkins future is speculative. Nobody knows. If Adkins has doubted his future himself it's purely based on results and what history has shown us, but I'm sure NC would be more than happy for Adkins to turn this around. I don't think NC is itching to get NA out the door, but, at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right for the future of the club. He doesn't have to answer to the echo, who are more often than not guilty of lazy journalism. It's not really in any company's interest to reveal all the details of things that go on behind the scenes.

Gives the ball away cheaply sometimes so he needs to tighten up on that, and I think he could tackle harder. I've seen him lose too many 50-50's. But then I'm an idiot.

Thanks kraken. I don't rate him and never have, certainly at this level, but I'm not suggesting we never play him again. I'm just saying that long term, I'd be happy for him to go, with a superior replacement of course. I thought Clyne did ok on the left with Richardson on the right so there is that option. Fyi, I backed you on a post you were getting digs for recently. Ho hum.

Listening to that interview, it sounds to me like he is absolutely fuming at some of his players. They are making fundamental mistakes that they've obviously worked hard on in training to eradicate. I feel for the guy.

If he's booted, and big if, who would replace him? Who would do better, really? And unless NC has someone to come in immediately then it would only make matters worse running under caretaker management. I would stick with Adkins.

The character word always comes out when a team has come from behind, always, but I'd like to see some character to get us a 2 goal lead and put the game to bed instead.

Disappointed with Lallana today. Yes, worked hard but just doesn't seem to create anything at the moment. Dwells on the ball too long. Overall I think our passing was sloppy today. No pace, or zippyness to our passing. Couple of hospital balls out there in the 2nd half. We've got to move the ball around quicker, with pace on the ball. Too slow at the moment.
