So Adkins didn't want to replace Davis and Cortese did. However, we still needed to buy a backup keeper, gazza, as we'd let Bart go.

Not British then, and Adkins wanted him, and now our players are worried about foreigners coming in? Doesn't add up that bit.

Yeah, this. I'm gutted too, but this shows ambition. Maybe, just maybe, Adkins has proved to be the stumbling block in our efforts to sign continental players? Now, we may not know much of Pochettino, but the continent does and perhaps he will be a bigger draw for the kind of players we are trying to attract. Right from the beginning Leibherr and Cortese said they wanted CL Football. We really should not be surprised by the changes that have been made and any that are forthcoming. I said changes would be made a long time ago based on my personal belief that Cortese is deadly serious when talking about his aims. We may not like it; our club is slowly morphing into a 'big club' in front of our eyes and maybe it requires an adjustment in our mentality to understand it. You know, Fergie has been on SSN saying what a crazy world it is and that he can't believe it. Well, why he can't believe it? Is it cos he believes saints to be a small provincial club with no right to have ambition and show it? That clubs like us don't do this sort of thing? Did he say he couldn't believe Liverpool sacked Dalglish, another crowd favourite? Well, time will tell if it this appointment takes us forward or not, but it's a brave appointment. An appointment that's as much brave as it is sad for Nigel Adkins and our feelings about him.

Look, I'm gutted about this but MP could've been approached say, 6 weeks ago with a view to taking over and since then he has researched the club and the players. Wouldn't you do the same? Doesn't mean he was given the job back then or anything else sinister. If Nigel had to go, I actually prefer that a man was lined up to replace him immediately, rather than a caretaker period while we interviewed new suitors.

I said some time ago, after our promotion to the Prem that things were gonna change at this club. Things that a lot of people wont like, such as today's events. I don't like the decision as I loved Adkins, but Cortese is looking forward and he perhaps thinks he's made a bit of a coup in landing this guy.

Shaw will definitely play for England. Clyne too probably. Don't know who's ahead of Morgan for France. Probably too late for Ricky. I'd rather shaw and Clyne didn't play for England. Not yet anyway. For one, they're not ready yet. Two, it'd be distracting. And three, England seem to be calling up anyone who has a good few games these days.

First time I've seen it and yep, no contact on Jrod and the keeper got to the ball first in the earlier phase, so no foul there either. Lucky to get that, but I don't give a flying feck. There's been plenty of other teams that have had dodgy pens. I'd have been happy for us to run out 2 or 3-0 winners but I'll take 1-0.

Shaw is excellent and, as has been said already, defends very, very well, much like Ashley cole who probably offers more going forward but I like the way Shaw seems to pride in his defensive abilities. Fox was like oh yeah, I need to defend too.

Found great quality streams of other games. Saints streams are poor.
