  1. Not if the team continue to play in the manner they have been. I'm led to believe you don't go anyway, so the level of cost reduction is irrelevant to you. Unless i've been misled about you of course...
  2. so the cycle can be started all over again? The only rememdy is for our cost base to square up against our turnover. otherwise it is just delaying the inevitable
  3. I think that 99.9999% of people on here would probably beg to differ...
  4. Last year we had been hammered in our opening games, dumped out of the carling cup and were probably in a worse financial situation than we are now having got rid of some of the higher earners. Why is everyone predicting the end is nigh when the season is barely underway? Reasons for optimism 1: We are playing better football than we did this time last year. 2: We have not had the comprehensive thrashings that we did this time last year. 3. We have not been embarrassed by lower league oposition and dumped out of the cup (like we were this time last year). 4: We have skillful and talented (albeit young) players who want to play for the shirt 9 times out of 10 would have run rings around the hoof and hope team we had last year. 5: As a club we have vastly reduced our outgoings, seemingly more cuts are on the way, but at lest we are now less likely to go into administration (with all of the penalties that would bring). 6: We have a manager who gives a **** and talks good sense. The most important thing is that we don't go into administration, get points dedcuted and then have minus 30 points in League one next year. To all you doom sayers: Support the team, they will deliver this year with the help of a united, supportive fanbase. Our finances wuold also be greatly improved by fans turning up at SMS. How about suporting your team guys? Not trying to undermine it. ...just a thought
  5. 'cause deila tells them to!
  6. In a word...No
  7. i'll go along with that.
  8. Weak in that he only scored three against Basingstoke?
  9. ****ing get in!!!
  10. i reckon a 1-1 draw today. But a promotion winning campaign is in the offing, just put £25 on at william hill 14-1. COYR!!!!!!
  11. Post of the decade IMO. THAT hit the nail right on the head. These youngsters will also be far more likely to bring the fans (and revenue) back than the "experienced pros" due to the slick style of play they have grown up playing. So maybe, just maybe, it will be a case of Higher revenue and lower costs! God forbid that should ever happen though...
  12. Are we both alluding to the fact that we now play better football than last season and have a good chance of doing much better than the "experienced pros" that almost dropped us in the proverbial last year? If so, then yes that is better.
  13. think you've got your wires crossed somewhere sweetheart!
  14. I think he's saying the youngsters might suprise you, time will tell.
  15. This is something Lallana and McGoldrick already have - we do not need Saga
  16. The ONLY point of reference when comparing saga with others is his performance for us. His ability is not necessarily in question, his performances for Poland are not in question. His performance for us ARE. We wont miss something we didn't have (last season he did sod all - this season we will not miss him doing sod all).
  17. That is a given... ...we'd all best get along and start supporting the youngsters that play fast, attractive, passing football with the enthusiam and desire that we have been missing for so long then!
  18. Damn right!
  19. Have none of you lot been to see our youngsters play, or are you actually blind? We are in NO danger of going down. We WILL to better than last season FACT. I will go to the bookies and put money on us making the playoffs this season. And before anyone starts, i'm not following the "new regime" blindly, i'm judging on what i've seen with my own eyes.
  20. I don't know about bart against WHU, but i was quite impressed at how much Davis communicated with his defenders at Cheltenham.
