Piss poor from Stewart and his representatives. He obviously has a club lined up already, no chance would they risk him playing competitive football for Scotland without an employer.
-
Best bit of this is surely Bazunu is off?
-
That’s an outstanding signing. Best keeper we have had since Niemi. First step towards recovery, and it’s a big one! Will be worth 10 points next season easily.
-
Yes, probably wishful thinking on THB on reflection. We can also shift Ramsdale though if we can get this deal done, which hopefully will negate 1 or 2 others.
-
This would be a serious sign of intent. He wasn’t even in my consideration as I thought we had no chance. If we can get this done, we can keep Scienza and Bellis too, surely they’d must be some serious reassurances to the players in terms of playing squad if Peretz signs. Fingers crossed.

If Solak can forgive with what he has lost, then I need to as well. Ultimately we all want the same thing so a united fan base is paramount and we need to back the decision of Solak. Let’s follow this up with some good news on Bree, Stewart, Larin etc.
-
Let’s hope if Tonda is as good as we think he is, he remembers the opportunity Solak has afforded him today when a bigger club comes calling.
-
Finally some meaningful clarity and some words from someone in power. I like the fact he acknowledges our response was naive and compares our lawyers being ineffective in comparison to Middlesbrough’s. Parson’s should be held accountable here. I remain concerned about Tonda staying on, especially if he has a ban later on. It is not the approach I would take, but at least he has made a decision which we now need to get behind. The most concerning line of the article for me is however is, “If you are a player of Southampton that really has quality to play in Premier League, I'm pretty sure you'll play in Premier League this season or the next." Whilst we expected it, that is a very clear message the playing staff will be far inferior next season.
-
My issue is it’s very poor form and a ridiculous risk to take for such a stupid gain, hence he is a wanker. The other issue here is it’s plainly obvious he will be getting banned, the language in that article will be deemed very negatively by the FA. Yet we have inept owners in charge blindly hoping he will remain our manager, when he clearly won’t be able to. This will put us miles behind where we need to be in terms of preparing for next season.
-
Couldn’t agree more. He is an utter wanker who shouldn’t be anywhere near the pay roll still. The FA will rightly ban him, and we will be looking for a manager about 6 weeks before the start of the season. Hillarious people think he should be kept on.
-
Do you think even Sports Republic have worked out Leeds and Bielsa aren’t a precedent yet? No, probably not.
-
Well what another load of waffle that statement was. Still banging on like a spoilt teenager about how the ruling isn’t fair. No update at all on anything fans care about. More pointless words with no meaning at all. Nothing at all around who is taking accountability for this stupidity. All this talk about litigation and legal responses, have you all forgotten we have tweedle dee and tweedle twat running the football operations at SFC. You are giving them far too much credit. They have fuck all planned in my opinion, and are sitting there hoping Tonda doesn’t get banned. No chance the points deduction gets overturned.
-
It’s the woke world we live in. Not saying I agree with it, but that is the view the FA will take.
-
Not sure they can get rid of him, but can impose a lengthy ban on him. You are right they struggle with disproportionate sanctions, but we are ripe for the taking and prime to be made an example of. Our pathetic performance to date will further enhance this view, let alone the fact we are little Southampton. I think the FA will take a particularly dim view on the report showing we forced minors to carry out the act. A statement highlighting how we are supporting Will Salt during this time would also aid our case, all things we should have prepared and acted on by now. Dithering will get us nowhere in a vital season before the parachute payments run out. West Ham - already sorted Nuno. Wolves - Got Trippier.
-
So we’re continuing to dither along thinking Tonda will be our manager, when there is a high probability the FA will make an example of him and get rid of him anyway? All on the basis some players, who won’t be at the club anyway, want him to stay. Sounds like a superb Sports Republic strategy to me. Asterick can fuck off as far as I’m concerned.
