  1. Titanic beer is awesome. I drink in a Titanic owned pub.
  2. Was told last night that Tranmere are right in the mire and that they don't even know if they will exist by the KO of the new season. Was also informed that everything at Fratton has to be ratified by the FL and that failure to meet any of their historic debts, when due, will result in the withdrawal of the Golden Share and that they only have to spend, what they raise themselves as every penny they are due are already allocated elsewhere. This was from a L1 club board member.
  3. Cardiff (A) at Ninian Park under the Dutch. My ban had been revoked & it was my 1st Saints game in 3 years. Drove down by myself as Corky had his nippers b/day party, which my lad was at & DJ was scoring at the cricket. Very weird being back watching my club but on my own. When DM scored three years of frustration was let loose. In recent times Millwall last season in the league was the most surreal experience. I really don't think I've ever lost it like that and the skates (a) as my nipper, at 10, thought it utterly unremarkable, which was somewhat of a shock to hear!
  4. I certainly hadn't and whilst I take The Mirror with the same pinch of salt I do The Sun I was surprised to hear that this role actually existed. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/kick-bankers-man-remembrancer-out-1874811 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_remembrancer
  5. That's a fair point. If it was just a flat rate of income tax then no, I'm opposed. If, however, it's a flat rate that abolishes the "stealth" taxes then I'm all in favour.
  6. If this web chat doesn't illustrate how small time and skint they really are then nothing will.
  7. Plenty in the press a week or so ago about how Klopp had been sanction as the successor by SAF. Personal opinions about the man aside his record is simply outstanding and you could argue he'd have had two more CL wins if Barcelona hadn't of been in their prime.
  8. The FL are going to be all over them like a rash for the next few years when it comes to finance and they have to be whiter than white so I genuinely cannot see them overspending. As I've said previously, they're fu.cked for a generation.
  9. I consider him a quality player but if we get our money back, I'd sell him and reinvest.
  10. If we can't beat either Sunderland or Stoke then we don't deserve to stay up anyway.
  11. To tories perhaps, but not to me. To offer big tax cuts to the wealthy whilst upping the % take from Joe Average is morally wrong IMHO but as you're a tory, you'll not understand that.
  12. So it'a fair for someone who is earning £30k to pay 5% more whilst someone earning £100k pays 10% less? Yep, real fair that. Won't hit the poorest and families the hardest but hey, it's "fair" to the folk earning big ££.
  13. In my experience, I cannot call a single UKIP voter I've met "normal". As for Europe, the fact that "business" wants us to stay in means we will as there is no way that the tories will go against the will of their paymasters. My personal position is that we should attempt to renegotiate and then have a simple in/out/new deal vote as like many I love being part of Europe, the freedom to travel and study etc but I do not like the amount of governance that Europe has over us.
  14. I see Deppo has a new username.
  15. The grammar school debate is an interesting one. Our local one is a bastion of middle class, Range Rover driving, knobs and the vast, vast majority are fee payers. Asked my lad if he wanted to take the test, which he'd pass easily and he said no. It sums it up when their cricket tour is 3 weeks in the West Indies! The grammar schools in the area I work are the polar opposite. They are working class (and very Asian) but the parents spend thousands of ££ on private tuition to get the kids in and that tuition starts at age 5. There is one very good academy that parents fight to get there kids into (has a unique intake criteria) and 2 others that are now the middle class enclaves where a professional bubble has appeared that replicates the catchment area. It's almost become role reversal. State school middle class, grammar schools working class.
  16. Nor do I. Bunch of bed wetting losers.
  17. Personally I think it sounds great.
  18. It's one of the reasons I really don't care about being in the PL.
  19. Perhaps that's why I find Christians such boring people, as well as odd. Go out, **** about, enjoy life as you're going to be bitterly disappointed when you die!
  20. As many tories are career politicians as Labour.

  22. Sorry, I was referring to a general election. I don't disagree with your other %.
  23. True & yet the former is more accurate, in the case of this week, that the latter.
