They became part of the government and then ditched their number 1, headline, policy. That's all there is to it. It was the pledge they trotted out over and over again. People believed Clegg and voted for him be then ripped up that pledge. He'll pay the price next month.
-
Simple and undeniable fact is that they pledged one thing and did the opposite. Many, many 1st time LibDem voters were women and we all know that if you lie to them they will have your balls, at Clegg will find out in May.
-
What an utterly f**king stupid suggestion.
-
My wife and many of our friends voted Lib Dem last time around. They won't vote for them again for 2 simple reasons; they lied about tuition fees & they got into bed with the tories. Nothing to do with ignorance but with feeling betrayed.
-
Green. It's been their policy for years. I'll vote Labour though as our local tory MP isn't a local and is an utter knob.
-
But it won't change a thing. The tories & Labour are still going to fail to win an outright majority. Bar a few, everyone is already decided. I've come across very few undecided. The biggest surprise to me is how many coppers are voting Labour. I never thought I'd see "The Party Of Law & Order" lose their support.

I'm very much pro-European but want a root and branch reform of the EU and I certainly want a simple IN/OUT referendum, the country deserves it regardless of what side on the debate you stand.

No, he's a war criminal.

Most posters on here are clueless muppets, that's why they are always dripping & mithering.

I've just come back as well. I love the chilled and laid back attitude and shared sense of being European. So much better than the insular & myopic view so many Brits have. And before the anti-EU brigade start their usual tired old rants and thumping their keyboards I'm 100% in favour on an IN/OUT referendum and 100% wanting reform of the EU institutions.

Flanders was utterly epic in mud, win & rain. 'Kin hard though.

Ed is a muppet and the tories still won't win. If the other brother had been elected as he should have been this election would be over all ready.
-
This thread is amusing. Folk just cannot understand how much the tories are disliked. Ed is a muppet but the fact the Cameron is going to fail to win an election, again, sums up the public's mistrust of him and his party.

Leaving 1st thing in the morning. Can't wait to do it.

Ah right, a policy based on paying what you think you can afford. Can see that working.

My means tested disposable income. Will my kids sports be allowed or are they luxuries?
-
If we are promoting healthy living will the costs of my children's swimming lessons and football and cricket costs be included under basics or are healthy living/sports options to come under luxuries?
-
Is a car a basic? What about 2 cars? How much are you allowed to spend on food before it stops being basic? How long or how high can you have the heating on for before it's a mere luxury? What if I take on a bigger mortgage for a bigger house that I don't really need have I then broken the rules as the basics for shelter?
