They have no right to appeal. They have a right to go to the Court of Appeal to ask if they can appeal the decision but they would have to have valid grounds for an appeal in order for it to be accepted.

Small businesses are also targets and in the eyes of the law the ones bringing the cases are always the victims. Many chose to pay up before dragging themselves through the courts as it is a stressful and often fruitless exercise. Employees know this and as such are more likely to do it in the future. It's disgusting and something needs to change.
