As I said, I post positive things when I see positives and post otherwise when I see negatives. Saying I post nothing but negativity is wide of the mark.
-
Yes I think it would be worth it TBH. We won't have lost any money after our OC windfall and it will significantly boost our promotion chances- something worth about 90 million. Coupled with the fair play rules coming in, this may be our final chance to use our financial muscle to strengthen. Once we are in the prem, players like Jay Rod would no doubt cost more, so it is worth getting them in now to develop with us.
-
Oh right so it only counts as being positive when you say it does. I didn't go any further back because frankly I couldn't be bothered but if you want to you will see the positive remarks made about Cork, promotion and our great start.
-
You keep saying this Pilchards and whilst I think you are a decent poster, it just doesn't seem likely. We were looking to sign Fontaine today and that just doesn't seem like a signing to blow our minds and we haven't got close to a really great signing like Maynard and Rodriguez. Hope you are right though!
-
No it isn't. Many posters other than me have been shouted down for not towing the party line. I post less on positive threads because there is less to debate about good news and also I am rarely responded to on thos threads. When I get abuse on here am I not allowed to respond?
-
No they haven't. Time and again posters are shouted down for having an opinion which differs from the stock one. I have no agenda and post positive and negatives when I see them. See my post above where I point our a number of positive posts and also my praise of the capture of Cork.

Why is everyone using twitter as some sort of bastion of truth?
-
CB Fry said that you are allowed an opinion of a player based on conjecture from other teams forums along with other small bits of evidence etc as long as that opinion is a positive one. If you give a positive opinion then it isn't questioned whereas if you give a negative one or wonder whether they are the best option, you get shouted down or told you are not allowed an initial opinion. That is what he said.
-
Did you even read and understand CB Frys post?
-
Yep exactly this. It's what happens all the time on here. You aren't allowed to have an opinion unless it is a positive one.
-
That is entirely my point, and yet somehow that is construed as writing someone off before I have seen them! Madness.
-
I am. This is an initial reaction. If following a signing everyone just said no comment until they had played a number of games then there would be no need for a forum. Are you seriously telling me you never have any opinion on a player we sign before you see them play for us?
-
I'm not negative I say it as I see it. If we had signed Gorkss and Rodrgiuez I would be extremely positive and saying how great it was. Also please try not link Dalek and I. He is a WUM and I would prefer not to be associated with him.

This is a saints related forum.

Turning down Gorkss because we have someone better only for that person to fail a medical is not great.
-
Twitter is not in any way definitive. Even if it is, turning down Gorkss because we have someone better only for that person to fail the medical is not great.
-
Could have been. Still not great either way.
-
Most often because I get hardly any replies to positivity and a torrent of abuse or ridicule for anything negative.
-
There is no rule about the amount of posts. I was either making a new point or replying to abuse or something someone has said.

No I didn't.
-
Because I just read the Bristol OS and the way it was written it appeared to be that way.
-
I'm not sure that Fox was a necessity because I do rate Harding. De Ridder seems quality although I did say in the main.
-
Of course it could be worse, but don't rest on your laurels is what I say. We have made such a fantastic start that it would really be a shame to see us missing out on fantastic targets which could cost us. Our great start makes it even more important IMO that we get the two signings we need in quickly and that they are of the required standard because we can really make a go of promotion this year.
-
I hope so. I will be one of the first on here saying what great signings we have made if we get in a real quality CB and striker. You can see how it looks though, that we have passed up quality with Gorkss and then tried to get a player in who has failed a medical. Lets hope whoever we get in is better than both options.
