Yet we have performed poorly on a number of occasions and had some disappointing results. I thought my comment was pretty even handed TBH.

I think that whilst playing poorly, I am happy to accept the recent results and will happily accept poor performances if it means we grind out results (but longer term would like us to find an attractive style of play, the sooner the better!) The problem for me comes with games like Walsall where we play poorly and lose against a relegation contender (unacceptable.) I am beginning to have more hope for us of late though thanks to that excellent Bournemouth victory away from home (which has been our weakness this year. Consistency has been our downfall so far so it would be brilliant to go on a long unbeaten run now.

Sorry but we are going to have to agree to disagree. We aren't in a better position than I expected at all although I am happy with our very recent form and hope it continues until the end of the season to secure second which is the minimum expectation IMO.

This. I honestly cannot believe that some fans believe that our current position is vastly exceeding their expectations. Cannot wait to make at least second place ours.
