The middle class bit. And I got 4 infractions for racism which even though it has been pointed out as a misunderstanding are seemingly going to stand. Unfair really and I would be saying the same whoever it was.

Because I happen to find (some) parts of the forum useful and interesting to use. Only this week Pancake sorted me out with a graphic which I really needed for my job. That's why.

Not really, I just have little to do at work today and I don't want to get close to a ban over a misunderstanding. They won't change it now anyway but I'm hoping this isn't the new direction the mods are taking (and in fairness saint Clark has been decent so far.)

As it seems extremely unlikely that I will get my ridiculous infractions lifted due to st 'mod in training' chalet seemingly too proud to reverse an incorrect decision, here is the quote I used (a few seconds in). You can decide for yourself if it is racist.

I appreciate the reason for the misunderstanding but since I have explained the situation I would have thought that a bit of common sense would be used and my infractions for being racist would be removed. Fair enough if you want to give me one for posting a pointless remark but that is totally different. On a separate point, can't say I have ever had a problem with mods before who from my experience have done a really good job and preferred to have a word before dishing out infractions.

I didn't think it would get me an infraction. I already apologised. I thought it was a well known brass eye quote, the same way that film quotes are used. It was an error of judgement and I fully appreciate why I was infracted over a misunderstanding. It's just that I have now been infracted for racist remarks which following my explanation is clearly wrong.

Except there was a serious point behind the comment. Besides, I was infracted for posting a racist remark, not for posting a silly comment. I didn't post anything racist.

How can you call an opinion drivel? I don't agree with everything he said but no need for the insults just because you saw the game a bit differently.

It was a brass eye quote to poke fun at the people who were suggesting that drugs were not addictive. Admittedly I didn't make it as clear as I should have but then that would have ruined the point of posting it. Anyway I have explained the misunderstanding to the new mods so hopefully things will be sorted.

You do realise where that post was from, what it was about and why it was posted right? Or is brass eye too strong for this place?
