  1. Maybe scrap the donation system for next year or change the system next year.
  2. Is that worth a massive reduction in forum activity.? I think most people would say no. A forum with no one on it is going to have less idiotic posts but also less interesting and thought provoking threads and posts. Maybe some have returned but it is far outweighed by the good posters who have left or who post a lot less because of this (I know I am!). This forum has lost something but baj and others can just keep turning a blind eye
  3. I have no problem with the fiver but a big problem with how it has made the forum worse. So now another admin has said they disagree with this strategy. It's clear there is a problem but the only way I can see them listening is if as many people as possible cancel their subscriptions. A few mods and admin disagree with the policy along with numerous posters. It is turning people off the forum not making it better
  4. Selling a Canon film SLR camera for my mate. In fully working order only selling as she has no use for it anymore as moving over to digital. Would suit anyone perhaps a student doing photography at a level or an enthuast looking for a simple and easy to use camera. Comes with lense and carry bag. Give me a PM and I can put you in touch with her if you need more details or want to make an offer.
  5. No offence but... (cue something very offensive.)
  6. Fair enough. Just to make it clear it was about allowing registered members to start threads.
  7. I have spoken to two mods who agree with me. Ill try and pm the others to get their views. If its something the majority want then it should be implemented imo
  8. The new south park episode made me lol! http://www.southparkzone.com/episodes/1212/About-Last-Night.html
  9. Seems to me to be a joint decision. Jan definitely had an input in some signings such as Lee Holmes. I have no issues with joint decisions but would hope that Lowe is not signing players over the head of Jan and the team (I doubt it.)
  10. Why concerning?
  11. But Jan said Lowe didn't pick the team...
  12. My friend stood on their Toshiba laptop which now has a cracked screen. I don't think it is in warrenty. What would be the best route to go down to get it fixed?
  13. I suggested this already in the forum suggestion forum but it was rather arrogantly rejected by his Bajesty. Seems a shame because it appears that the majority of users would like this option. I miss a lot of helpful advice from the lounge and the main forum when it allowed everyone to post and I think most people would feel the same. Limiting the content of the forum is not the way to go but the powers that be will not listen to their "customers" and plow on regardless.
  14. Does Jan realise our problems at right back
  15. Nothing like the amount that s4e and tsf got though
  16. All I know is that s4e was busy before any takeover talk. SW is a lot worse than its predecessors and it costs more.
  17. The misuse of religion sure but not religion itself which can do a whole lot of good
  18. Buy a pool table http://www.boffer.co.uk
  19. How much for the HDD?
  20. Do you not think that the US appointing a black president is not in itself a positive and reason for celebration? I certainly do.
  21. Right so in reality you have no idea what he is going to be like. I think people are excited because of the race thing but also because so far he sounds very good. Of course we have nothing to base things on other than what he has promised and his policies which sound immeasurably better than Bush and McCain.
  22. Well only if you haven't listened to him or looked into his policies. Why do you assume that no one has? Just because you haven't?
  23. My big issue with labour is the fact that they keep telling me what to think and what to do. HIPS are one example, a total waste of money!
  24. The main problem with this country is that it really doesn't matter who gets voted into power, they will keep the main things that are the same and will not try anything radical for fear of being voted out at the next election. I have no idea what Cameron stands for yet I have become totally disenchanted by labour, primarily because of the hoops they have made everyone jump through and because I know feel the state is making it so we cannot think for ourselves. This country desperately needs change, the trouble is all the main political parties will keep things relatively the same (and all the others are radical and will never get into power.) Obama has concentrated primarily on bringing the country together, British politicians will always focus on political point scoring and it makes them seem as if they don't care about Britain.
  25. Looks like Obama will win it then. I'm relieved. I would love to see Saint George's face now!
