You still haven't answered any of my questions about feasibility and I presume you're ending your replies because you can't answer them. You also never answered about if your theoretical subscription service applied to a select few social media companies or if it was everyone. You claim this subscription service will be global so will you have differing price models? What about whistle blowers in corrupt regimes? No more anonymous journalism or calling out of human rights abuses on twitter? The only suggestion I've seen so far that was in any way reasonable was for the likes of twitter to give users the option to only see registered users tweets or keep themselves open to everyone but potentially see objectionable content.

You didn't answer any of my questions. Mandating subscription charges across all of social media on a global scale would be insane and unworkable. Requiring one company (twitter) to have a subscription model in the UK only would be entirely pointless and silly.

I actually think the wokeness is a bigger factor than many think. Being unable to define what a woman is and the whole transgender women on all female shortlists turned off a lot of people I know then the whole statue thing, taking the knee and all the rubbish and the general sentiment of being anti British and and a distaste for any sort of patriotism is going to turn off many.

I've met MLT quite a few times and I've been on telly with him twice. Every single time he's been an absolute gentleman and he's also let me buy him a pint at the pub. Had some great chats, been a top bloke and does loads of stuff in the area and for various good causes. I couldn't give less of a shit what some losers think about something he's posted on twitter. He's the best player I've ever seen play for for my team and is a hero of mine and I still have a signed football from him under my bed. Thankfully social media isn't real life so I'm sure he is still greeted warmly wherever he goes around Southampton as he should be. Legend. I can honestly say I would. It's not really a choice between 250K a week or nothing is it. They'd still probably get 100K a week by going elsewhere. There comes a point where you really don't need even more money. I'm sure some players will feel similarly.
