If we get to the end of the day and we've failed in another window then clearly there's something wrong with either our negotiation team or our targets are too ambitious. One of both need to change if we are to have any success getting promoted.

I've got no idea what Orisic is like but I do know what Mara is like and every person knows that he was a squad signing signed as one for the future to add to the squad. In no way was it acceptable to sign him in the summer and pretend that that was sufficient. He wasn't signed as a startibg forward for the team.

You were full of it last summer criticising posters for being unhappy about the lack of attacking signings. It now looks like it's going to the primary reason that we get relegated and you're still piping up with cute little analogies. Ive already said my expectations are low, I don't give a toss who we are linked with on twitter. All I know is we still haven't made an attacking signing and I don't have much confidence that we will sign someone beyond someone like Ayew.

The exact same thing happened in the summer where we were heavily linked to players and got gazumped or it fell through. My expectations are very low after the last window so it's difficult to disappoint.

I think I agree with you. If we don't get anyone else in I think the club will have realised they can't get anyone in they would like and they don't consider the alternatives worth it. Effectively they will be accepting relegation which is fine but let's not have some bullshit pr from the club tomorrow please about being pleased with what we have etc etc.

I don't think that getting in a striker better than Mara, Adams and Armstrong in a year is that difficult actually.

We needed to find an attacker that was better than Armstrong, Mara and Adams. We have had a year to do it. It's not unrealistic.

Good Post and I agree. Its probably a bit of both of our posts to be honest. In an alternate reality, the likes of Bazunu, Larios and Edozie would have been really decent signings if we had got in some seasoned pros like you had mentioned and then we wouldn't have to have relied on then so much but maybe then they wouldn't have come here in the first place. I do think that if/when we go down this year that one of the factors will have been our aversion to getting in some Premier league experience and relying to heavily on unknowns and kids.
