Exactly. It simply comes back to what was articulated months ago on this thread. There is not a negotiating position acceptable to Islamic fundamentalists who object to your existence. What Israel agree or disagree with is irrelevant to these people - they will want them dead and removed regardless.

Could do. One thing for sure is that the current Iranian regime are terrible and subjugate their people. The risk for something worse to come along afterwards wouldn't be a reason to not celebrate the toppling of their regime - particularly because it might not happen.

Because Israel aren't continually lobbing thousands of rockets at Lebanon in an effort to randomly kill as many Jews as possible.
  4. I'm excited if we do bin Martin to see what a slightly more direct manager could do with the likes of Amo Ameyew, Sulemana, Fraser and eventually Edozie. Allowing that lot to actually run and dribble with the ball would a significant new dimension to our game and hopefully give us more of a goal threat - not that that would be hard!

There's not going to be peace in our lifetimes. Removing Iran's capabilities to wage proxy wars will at least remove a significant part of the aggression.

Let's hope so. Fatally crippling Iran would remove a lot of the issues in the region.

Because they are religious fundamentalist who despise Jews and use their interpretation of their religion as justification for wiping Jews off the face of the earth given the opportunity.

I think it's fairly uncontroversial to say the Iranian regime are pretty much the definition of evil.

Why have Israel launched a ground assault in Lebanon?

Evil Israel provoking the innocent Iranians.
  12. In summary-our players aren't great but should be performing better than they currently are. I have no doubt that a better manager would have us on more points or at the very least made us more competitive in more games this year. It's not necessarily the defeats so much as the manner of defeat.
  13. Personally I think they might give him the Leicester game. If he doesn't win that then there's no chance really and he will be gone.
  14. He also doesn't suit Martin's style of play in the slightest. Absolutely bizarre choice was he scouted by us at all?
  15. When we lose Martin always says it doesn't matter who played or the formation and tactics. It's so frustrating that he doesn't think that's an issue.
  16. It wasn't atrocious last year, there's just more leeway to get things wrong. Two years ago it was terrible I agree.
  17. He's losing it. If it's self explanatory then don't do interviews.
  18. Had some fantastic moments. The first half was my fault. This will be a good learning experience for the players.
  19. Yep. Gave it a good go which is all you can realistically ask for. This isn't that.
  20. You know how Mike Bassett has that scene where he says "we play four four fucking two?" That's how I imagine Martin is with his playing out from the back possession stuff.
  21. I agree. But we could have told Martin that before the season started. No one other than Martin wanted to stick with a mental strategy of continuously playing out from the back and keeping it in our own half.
  22. It's the sort of thing that is either genius or retarded. 15 minutes in it was clearly retarded and at that point he should have reverted to a normal formation. Why on earth we bothered to change the team from last week I have no idea.
  23. Genuinely think that Martin is as out of his depth as Jones was. In many ways it's actually worse as Jones never had a preseason or an entire season to work on what he wanted the players to do.
  24. Well promotion was a total waste of time. To lose is one thing but to not even compete is unforgivable. Martin will come out after the game and say he is to blame and not the players and he's probably right. To have lost a game against a mid table team 30 minutes in is just aopaling

Anything reasonable that increases their chances of not getting rockets fired at them is a good thing. An ongoing presence is entirely reasonable. I can't comment on the airport as I don't know enough about it.
