Exactly. if in the house of commons everyone was wearing black but then a bloke wore bright yellow then I wouldn't be surprised if it was commented on. I wouldn't care myself but I can see why it has been picked up on .
-
The most prominent person wearing a very low cut top and incidentally the only one wearing bright orange. If a bloke wore similar then I guarantee it would be picked up on. The daily mail having a potentially sexist article is not evidence of Britain being a sexist society any more than Britain being a racist society if someone decided to stick up a racist opinion piece about Rio Ferdinand on BBC sport.
-
Yep. Most of the "news" I get from my other half comes from there.
-
I can see evidence that the Daily Mail can be pretty sexist when it wants to be (although if a male MP wore revealing clothes then it would also be commented on no doubt.) Still don't see how an article in the Daily Mail means we live in a sexist society. It's a widely read website but I think you'll find that the majority of popular articles will be pointless celebrity based gossip.

Now THIS is the type of thing that Lou should be doing to increase her popularity. http://web.archive.org/web/20051221211024/http://www.whulass.uk8.net/ Warning NSFW.

Would you say the same for yourself?
-
Another 30 million please if you want him.
-
Agree. On here it's the equivalent of swearing at the cat.
-
Hmm that sounds like a bit of a cop out to me...
-
More likely they realise that calling someone an idiot on here is in no way the same as saying it to someone you have a real relationship with offline.
-
Nah. It pretty much means not making a cogent argument, calling people thick when they ask you pertinent questions, not answering most of the points people put to you, using knife crime in the UK to support gun culture in the US etc. Go on, call me stupid or just put LOL. That will be extremely original and witty...
-
Is your new shtick simply to follow me around the board, either replying to my posts or to posts about me? It's odd because up until a couple of weeks ago I didn't have clue who you were. Maybe you do it for attention?

Micah is threatening to sue all and Sunday
-
It clearly isn't the reason people do it now though so I don't see why it's relevant to a discussion about marriage and surnames in the 21st century.
-
Sarcasm is a concept lost on you Jonnyboy. Your replies remind me of when I try to talk to my cat and he looks at me as if he almost understands what I'm saying.
-
So you aren't a pretentious ballbag in real life? Thank goodness. In my mind you are the younger version of aging hippy liberal douche from south Park.
-
Oh darn it. I'm getting married next year so I better tell my wife that we are participating in the continuation of the oppression of women. And here I was under the mistaken impression that we loved each other and wanted to express that publicly and make a commitment to each other. Thank goodness that more enlightened individuals such as yourself are moving away from such outdated practices as marriage.

Five hundred years is a pretty long tradition.
-
Quite happy with my Mrs thanks. Need no assistance from random forum folk with an interest in rape to get laid.
-
Been through this already. You were too stupid to understand. Let's try not to bring up rape again in the future, it's pretty distasteful.
-
No. Natasha was an ex girlfriend of mine and we broke up about five years ago. She now lives in Bristol I believe but I haven't spoken to her since at least 2011. Odd that you and buzzin orn continue to bring it up but if it provides you with amusement then you can continue I suppose.
-
You seem a bit obsessed with rape Jonnyboy what with this and saying that I supported that appaling rape in India. Are you feeling OK? You sure you haven't had a brush with it yourself? I can't imagine why you would keep bringing it up otherwise.
-
They can do whatever they like really. Everyone just calls it marriage so they don't do the usual thing and make a scene.
-
Almost always take the p*ss on here or say whatever rubbish enters my head to pass the time. In real life I'm a lot kinder and probably more accepting but I suppose I've never met someone like Saintandy or KelvinsRightGlove offline so I'm not sure how I would react to them in the real world. Could well be that they are just Charicatures of themselves on here which would explain that.
-
Yes smirking that is exactly how I feel. There is something very cold and emotionless about removing all traditions from society. Having the same surname is a symbol of the commitment you have shown and the trust you place in that other person.
