Adkin on tv they asked him about Southampton, here is what went on: he said "It's a special job - good people there, im pleased to be top. It's a very big club. It also compliments everyone at Scunny for the work we've done. It's a big job and I am chuffed to be up there with Zola, Shearer, Hoddle and Phil Brown." So the presenter said "So..." Adkins: "Can we just move on please *chuckling and smiling*

who did that list of fans forums? Would be interested to see if anything on other fans forums for managers we are linked to
-
Howe - potentially great but very new still Adknis - proven at this level Brown - been around a while as No2, got Hull promoted and big personality to go in and will think he can get us playing great and then there is Hart....? No. Would rather we stuck with Wilkins
-
been manager about a year?
-
this is the level of humour we should have!!
-
me to. will be loads of rumours after Saturday, stewards know all!
-
he behaved like an arse on Tuesday and clearly didn't want to try to make it work with Guly. If we don't need Dickson for LM on Saturday I would drop Harding to remind him it is a team game and to treat young saints better.
-
Ricky and Connolly are not too bad for league 1 - with the loan window opening as well
-
How many managers, in the top half of the premiership had managed there before getting their current job? Don't get this "must know league 1". Sure we wouldn't be gutted at getting Jose M and he probably doesn't know a single player in this league. A good manager is what we need. Not a league 1 expert.
-
sorry, meant where was he linked to us?? Not heard anything suddenly favourite
-
is it along the lines of starting thread "Wenger, wouldn't that be great!"
-
yes link back, where did Adkins come from??? think they were adding the England bit.
-
if what is true? That he exists?!!
-
it looks like something happened. We just don't know what.
-
maybe should have just been in other thread sorry. interested in vews as to whether he will be missed
-
maybe right didn't need another thread
-
Have any players commented on his departure? How was he thought of?
-
It maybe that Wally Downes was the central figure leading to the departures.
-
kill two clubs with 1 stone! on par with Hart (or maybe below!!)
-
To take it to an extreme, if you are a manager on relatively low income in league 1 and you hate Arsenal, but they come in with offer of job, double money etc etc, any petty reason to dislike them will go in an instant. I know we are not Arsenal but you get my point - huge step up in money, potential and profile (but also pressure). If he doesn't want it I think it would be due to the pressure early in his career.
-
he could easily got rid of rumours when asked, but instead said "not worth commenting yet as don't even know if they would want me"
-
Paul Hart slipping away.. Howe 6/5 Brown 3/1 Zola 4/1 Hart 5/1
-
so need to win on saturday to keep ahead of the Norwich model!!
-
why
