will you admit you are wrong?
-
we are lucky.
-
found it hard to judge on ability rather than just gut feeling. Can't go far wrong if we have the 4 or 5 most important skills/experience and asked them to evidence them, then question on this - score for each skill and see if it is the one you want to get the job!
-
guess Alps didn't have an answer to 116?
-
could see him using Connolly or Barnard alone if Lambert injured, something like Puncheon Harding Lallana (or Butterfield) Schneiderlin Oc-C (or Lallana) Barnard
-
9 assists for Puncheon with his poor performances and bad attitude compared with 2 from Antonio who we can't do without???!!
-
we need around 77 to 84 points for automatic promotion. once we had the basis of our team, and got our first win 7 games in, we averaged 2 points per game which gives us 92 points for a season - with those bad performances on wet midweek marshes included! We don't need to improve!
-
of your points: 1) we were getting enough points for automatic promotion - including those performances you refer to - not perfect but it doesn't need to be. What do you suggest? (sorry demand!) 2) could be said about any player except - 1 RB - league 1 team of the season last season, therefore proven at this level, 1 RB still at his peak and played his career (including 40 odd games last season) at higher level and fans of his previous club rate him very highly, 1 LB - don't know much about but highly rated. 3) How proven was Antonio? 19, I think, when we signed him, and playing for Tooting and Mitcham, non league, less than a year before we signed him? Think all agree, AP included, that we would like him or similar for next season. You sound very silly talking about "MK reject" you know, full well, he was a player they were desperate to keep and made the league 1 team of the season. 4) funny how important Schneiderlin is when you were arguing with me about 6 months ago saying he was crap! But agree would like more competition in CM, but we have two good CM, then we have Puncheon who played well there for MK, Butterfield, Wooton, Lallana could all do a job, but would be very happy if we did sign another CM, not end of the world if we don't. 5) Yes. Bizarre, of course you plan on good players continuing to be good! He has done it last few seasons and is getting better so why not? 6) Yes there is - reports on OS of fitness tests - highest score in club. Yes he could get injured again but remember Lee Barnard, 35 goals in 75 for Southend at this level, and 9 in 20 for us. 7) agree but someone on here has posted he has said he is signing this week so hopefully resolved.

yep - looking good for next season!

you are not even convincing yourself now!

think the points are quite clear; over 85% of the season we averaged 2 points per game - which is 6 points more than Leeds did over the season to gain automatic promotion. This shows that the team was good enough, once assembled to gain automatic promotion. Many of those additions were in the Jan window. We were weakest at RB - we have signed two very highly rated RBs. We lacked cover at LB - we have signed a quality LB who can also play LM. Connolly is fit and signed a new contract. Ox-C came through at the end of the season as 2nd youngest player for us ever, and has been playing in warm-ups on the wing and is seen as having a role this season. Butterfield played 40 odd games for a good CCC side last season and can play well RM or CM where we lacked cover. We have got rid of a lot of poor players and players who were unlikely to play much. We have lost two wingers who played about 14 odd games max each in league. AP has said he is trying to sign one of them, They would not be first choice anyway. Puncheon played CM well for MK before he came here. substance?

I knew you had delusion of grandeur....glad the signings will be sorted then!
-
and Butterfield has covered, well reading reports, in CM and CB in CCC.

James replaced with much better. Gillett not here half of season and started total - 0 games for us. Lancashire/perry/thomas - replaced by Fonte/Seaborne/Martin last season - not needed. Murty -replaced with better Michael Poke, John Otsemobor, Jake Thomson, Kayne McLaggon, Tom Dunford, Jack Boyle, Lee Molyneux, - so what!!!!! Michael Antonio, and Papa Waigo N'Diaye - yes will be missed and think likely to be replaced, never going to be first 11 players tho and think AP see Ox-C in their role. Squad stronger - and I think will get stronger.
