Antonio did not sign an extension. His contract had a clause in it allowing Reading to extend the contract he had already signed. He has done nothing. Reading would be mugs not to action that clause as now they have the option of keeping him or deciding on the fee. Saints have approached Reading for a permanent move. Leeds looked a more likely option for him though.

Because of the levels of debt involved, HMRC could appeal Pompey's 20p in the pound offer, while Palace get away with a farcical 1p-in-the-pound deal. Inequalities? You bet. Fair? Not a chance. An uncomfortable couple of days lie ahead for those with royal blue in their veins. Hopefully the news will be good, and common sense will win the day. first 11 is sorted, and very good. May improve it, if suitable player available. Signings are needed for back up so early signings not so important. Early days - chill and get excited about the season!
