  1. was commenting on the forum lately.
  2. he can't be! He was the only one backing up Stu in a debate I was having and Stu was struggling!
  3. In any league, someone has to be the most expensive to watch... ..would it be reasonable for that club to be the one in the most affluent area, with best stadium, most expensively assembled squad and title favorites? Also our season ticket prices are some of the best in the league.
  4. Not all Cortesse has done has been good and some decisions are up for debate. The club is definately going in the right direction. Most fans are happy. Without getting too into the tit for tat, its worth remembering that some of the information used in this thread ti criticise him is made up, and also when you log on, using a different user name to back yourself up, then you surely know you are struggling!

    New Kit...

saw someone wearing it for the first time today - that stripe is not very flattering for beer bellies!
  6. from their rumour site
  7. 25 Jun 2010 11:13:44 Bristol Rovers midfielder Chris Lines is set for talks with Southampton and will undertake a medical at St.Mary's stadium and it is hoped he will be unvieled alongside Brett Pitman whose move looks a near certainty after Pitman expressed his desire to leave Dean Court. Lloyd James will make the move to Bristol Rovers after his release from the Saints. The former Wales U21 international midfielder/full back James was born in Bristol and held a Season ticket at rivals Bristol City until moving to Southampton aged 10.
  8. when did mine this morning was several others doing the same and they said sales had been "steady"
  9. just said on sky sports that Rooney was caught in possession more times than any other player in the world cup! 4 shots on target over 4 games
  10. Rooney is the most over-rated international since..can't think of anyone as over-rated! He is a poor international player and we should not build around him. Honestly think we would have done better with Crouch/Defoe for the tournament He misplaced 54% of his passes - this is not about formation!
  11. asked at ticket office how season ticket sales are going - was told "pretty good been very steady here" - doesn't sound anything like the rush we had last year, I am sure we would be getting stories on OS if we were rushing up to 12,000
  12. before old update I used to log on and immediately get the list of current threads.(the saints) Now it takes me to saints forum, showing who is on etc - but no thread details, if I click up a level - (Southampton Football Club) then back into the saints -all the threads appear. Is this the same for others or am I doing something wrong? Also someone stated IE8 causes some of the delays with typing text - is there any solution other than using another browser?
  13. I knew a lad who played for skates late 80's/early 90's. He said that the players openly talked about not wanting promotion as knew they were not good enough for a higher league and would be pushed out
  14. if Maradona can do it surely Beckham could? (don't think he played for saints tho!)
  15. appreciate efforts, not too worried either way about the look but still often find it slow to react?
  16. agree, think if we really wanted him we could have convinced him.
  17. been distracted by world cup - what is the latest comedy value from down the road?
  18. very early still
  19. Harding looked very good but if we can get better surely we must? Made sense the comments he made about teams being defensive against us so we need speed at fullback
  20. they are hanging on at mo
  21. no problem from me - saints news is very very dull at mo!
  22. is hard to compare, agree. NP is doing very well, how can you say AP career has gone backwards when he has one of the top jobs in world football!
  23. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?23458-motorsport-death thread will get it more views!
  24. SKY Sports are reporting that Nigel Pearson is the man in talks with Hull City. It comes on a day when it emerged the Tigers have been holding discussions with a boss who managed in the Championship last season. Pearson was at the helm in Leicester's promotion from League One and he took the Foxes to the Championship play-offs last season. The Mail spoke to City's head of football operations, Adam Pearson, earlier today, but he refused to comment when asked about his namesake becoming the new Tigers' manager
  25. in effort to make saints related.... NP v AP? Think AP.
