A poll is for people to show their opinions. I have asked many times for TW followers to do a sales pitch on his behalf such as I did for PT - none have. I personally only see him as a light-hearted suggestion for two reasons 1) he is no more saints through and through than Skacel, 2) he has not even managed to get hired as a non-league manager yet - this is supposedly a 5 year plan to premiership. didn't spend £1m on DMG! If you are comparing sales fees - BT £6m, Couch £7m, Danny Wallace £1.2m (in 89!), Shearer £3.3m, -doesn't help your arguement! Bet they all spent more time as centre forward than he did.

less?? Point is, his return isn't great, but some seem to think we these good forwards we have had in the passed, playing in good teams with support etc have been banging in 20 to 30 each year, when often they would of loved 14 or 15!

Surman did play very poorly for several games last season. Holmes has only played a handful of games and has been injury prone. He has played well in some of those games. Surman has been, and is likely to be, a better player the Holmes, but to be fair to Holmes, Surman didn't outplay him last season.
