I haven't seen it on here but the judge has directed that on each charge If one is found guilty then the other is guilty. There can be no split verdict.

I'd take the Queen any day over the self serving career politicians that have no interest in the population's views. Jesus H Christ, Imagine Tony Blair as President, No Thankyou.

It's bloody ridiculous borrowing money to give it away. OK if we don't have borrowings and lots of money spare then foreign aid is reasonable but to increase our debt mountain, have quantitative easing, strip our military to the bone, cut backs across the board is just ridiculous. Sort out the problems in the UK first. It's also a gravy train for a large number of unnecessary bureaucrats.

I think the parachute dates are 1st August and 1st February. By my calculation 2010 - Aug £8m 2011 - Feb £8m Aug £8m 2012 - Feb £8m. That would make £32m covering the football debts and most of the PL advance. So it doesn't look like they received anything on 1st Feb. The next payment would be August 1st if my dates are correct. That means they have to finance another six months before a maximum payment of £4m is due, to last until Feb 2013. £4m to cover the next year doesn't work.

Andrew and Steve Surman are Saints supporters. Andrew didn't want to go but was persuaded by the club that the fee was needed to avoid liquidation. The source was Weston Saint who is friendly with Steve Surman.

It's a no brainer. Cover the goalkeeper. Four substitutes are more than enough to cover the ten outfielders. If we lost a match we would have otherwise won with a keeper and didn't get promoted, we would be idiots. Often three substitutes are used only when the game needs changing late on (or to use up injury time) and the choice is usually made with not a lot of time left and a fit goalkeeper on the pitch.

From last year. Do I remember £11m ish as a figure for the advance in parachute payments? Subsequently £22m ish football creditors, making £33m ish total, taking up the first two years. Anybody know?

Fox has been automatically suspended for a period of one first team match, ie Millwall - FA Cup so would be available for Saturday. We played at a much higher tempo yesterday in atrocious conditions.

Huhne has resigned from the cabinet.

It shouldn't have come to this. John Terry has shown that he has no idea how to behave. Knowing that he has already lost the captaincy once through his behaviour, he should have indicated that whilst he was innocent the speculation was an unnecessary distraction, so he would stand down as England captain but be available if selected. This should have been done as soon as he was charged.

Any bets on H&W FC changing their name to AFC Portsmouth? Or is it too tainted now.

Worse than that they haven't got a multi billionaire to save them.

Why wasn't the a/c H Redknapp. Rosie47 looks like concealment.

No CVA was necessary for two reasons. SFC, the club never went into administration, continued trading, sold players, was bought, paid its bills and stayed solvent. Secondly the assets of SLH were purchased by Markus Leibherr including the club. The stadium mortgage was paid off under agreement with Aviva, The overdraft was paid off under agreement with the bank. SLH then was liquidated

It's got to be SNP Mike.

That letter is dishonest. In one sentence she says staff are working without pay so there will be no more debt to HMRC. As league regulations say all football debt has to be paid there will have to be further debt. I can't believe that the staff are working for nothing with no end date. If PFC can't pay wages they can't pay HMRC either. Insolvent.
-
In a city of say 350,000 plus outlying areas PFC have a ground capacity circa 20,000 and average 14,000 ish, hardly a city that values a club in financial trouble. Cameron has more important issues to stop ****ing up.
-
So what happens if owners CSI are liquidated and there is no buyer for PFC. Without the support will they be part of that liquidation?

Always an idiot with a sarcastic meaningless remark.

Davis, Richardson, Fonte, Hoiveldt, Fox, Chaplow/Guly/DeRidder, Cork/Hammond, Puncheon, Lallana, Lambert, Sharp.
-
Puncheon could be the find of the season. He was outstanding when moved into the centre. Our central midfield is poor, no momentum, sideways and backwards passing, IMO we need only one of the three alongside Puncheon. He has played CM for MK Dons and could provide a threat from midfield. Sharp and Lambert up front with Chaplow/Guly/DeRidder on the right. Get back to the sharp pass and move football, with a bit of sharpness and breaks from midfield for a change. We have been worked out and now the CM isn't really providing a threat or movement.
-
He played central for MK Dons at times. Therefore he is comfortable there. He could be the answer. We have been worked out and he would add something new especially with Sharp up front. We have to be more aggressive and positive, get back to the quick penetrative pass and move, and try to go out and win not just try contain by passing sideways and backwards and snatch a win.
-
No you are not. The central midfield was poor, low tempo, sideways and backwards, never first to breaking balls. How Schneiderlin thinks he can pressure, strolling about, ten yards from an opponent is beyond me. I was impressed by Puncheon and now would like to see us play a midfield of Lallana, Puncheon, Hammond/Cork, from Chaplow/Guly/DeRidder. Hammond/Schneiderlin/Cork do not provide an attacking threat when together and are slow to build often ending promising moves by turning backwards ending up with the keeper punting. Where has the fast pass and move gone, there is a lack of movement off the ball, but Puncheon when he moved infield was a revelation creating movement and momentum. Connolly had for him a poorish game, the fullbacks had plenty of the ball but the delivery was poor. Defensively and bearing in mind he was on his poor side Martin had a solid game. Now I've seen the goal on tv, Davis just flapped the ball out, he didn't look under great pressure as there was only one Cardiff player close and he was tight marked. Lallana was lively but I thought he seemed to look for the penalty and went down easily, I was closer to the Lambert incident and the defender was all over him. Fonte had a decent game, Lee will be useful as he settles in. I was surprised Falque was on the bench after his poor debut.

It was bloody dire last night. If Cork or Schneiderlin turned and played backwards or sideways once they did it a hundred times. The central midfield is supposed to be the engine room of the team. Schneiderlin doesn't get tight, doesn't pressure the opposition, plays in a sloppy comfort zone, makes a lot of passes for the sake of it. Last night from the start Cardiff came to snatch a goal and run the clock down, our central midfield played sideways and backwards and allowed Cardiff to compact in front of us stifle the attackers so we never really created clearcut chances. Schneiderlin and high tempo don't match up, he is basically a stroller and looks pretty but his end product is minimal. Cork can do a lot better and with Hammond does provide energy but no attacking threat. I never thought I'd ever say this but I was mightily impressed by the overall effort and quality provided by Puncheon, initially wide but especially when he moved infield. I personally would put him in central midfield with Hammond or Cork with Chaplow wide, with options of Guly and DeRidder and Lallana on the left side with Sharp and Lambert up front. All three, Schneiderlin, Hammond and Cork build up too slowly and don't really threaten by breaking forward with the ball preferring to pass sideways and backwards. We can only afford one of them in midfield.

Tonight we are playing Cardiff in a cliff edge game. We are likely to let Lambert go.
