  1. Yes, have a gold star.
  2. It'll be Carroll despite the fact that he's only just back from injury. Either that or they won't fill the spot.
  3. Pretty much what I was trying to say but more eloquently put.
  4. Not picking on this post particularly but seems as good as any. Just watched the first half on Football first. I know when a result doesnt go the way you want it, it's easy to rant but really come on chaps. Those slating Ramirez should watch that half again before making him the scapegoat. Apart from that, admittedly, shocking miss I thought he did OK. In fact Puncheon was by far our most frustrating player in the first 45 mins, consistently over hitting crosses and running up blind alleys. The sum we paid for Gaston is hardly his fault, but it seems to be the reason for him taking over as the new Guly. There's a decent article on Jordan Henderson on the Guardian website which seems rather apt in the circumstances. While I appreciate we haven't exactly got time for players to get to grips with this league, some of them are going to need more than others.
  5. I never laugh at a wet fanny.
  6. Really? The commentators were saying that Samba looks unfit and overweight and that another team may have caused him problems.
  7. It's worrying but hardly panic stations. We have to factor in the fact that we are only three matches under a new manager. As long as we can keep the performance level high the results should come. Yoshi's been playing fine and can be allowed a bad match. Pity it cost us but there you are. I'm as ****ed and depressed at the result as the next man, but our destiny is very much in our own hands.
  8. Looking at the overall performances and the remaining fixtures, there's nothing to panic about. After the City match we have a run of winnable games. Whether we do so or not is another matter. Got to put more of our chances away and have to defend set pieces far better. Let's hope Forren can offer an improvement and the Yoshi was just having an off day.
  9. Now ****in toon again. What a **** day.
  10. ****ing ****s.
  11. Get in you feckin beauties!!!
  12. And there we go Reading winning.
  13. You have a point but hardly screwed. Still don't rule out Reading getting a winner. Then things will be bloody tight.
  14. Toon equalise.
  15. I was halfway through a negative post. Maybe I need to cook up another. Chelsea in front too.
  16. Get in SRL!!!
  17. Read my post again. I said prem games.
  18. Just to wind you up by the looks of it. Not that I necessarily agree with the decision but it is one more point than Nigel had from his first three prem games.
  19. ****. Effin Newcastle winning now.
  20. Pretty much as bad a set of scores as possible so far then?! It's going to ba a long afternoon.
  21. I'm disappointed we didn't sign anyone but a bit more concerned about the full back positions than anything else as I think we're lacking decent back-up in those areas. However, especially because of the young age of our first choice full backs, I think these will be tricky spots to fill. Who's going to want to sit behind two guys who could possibly be playing in those positions for years to come? I think moving forward we may see more academy players filling in here of needed, especially at right back. I'd have loved an exciting creative player in but I don't think it's an area that requires urgent attention. We have SRL, Rodriguez, Lee and Mayuka that could play as central striker and Lallana, Rodriguez, Ramirez, Puncheon, Lee, Mayuka, JWP, Guly and Davis that could play AM. Admittedly at the moment not enough goal threat is coming from the AM positions but unless anyone significantly better than what we have is available, we weren't going to buy players for this position. Out of those players that can fill the AM positions Lallana and Puncheon have been amongst our best players this season, JWP has done OK when he's played and fits the club model, and Mayuka, Davis and Rodriguez are all new purchases this season. Our lack of Prem experience means that many of these players needed to learn on the job. Not all players, especially those from other leagues, acclimatise quickly. For every Michu there are plenty who take longer to make an impact. I imagine, looking at our purchases, that the club were willing to take that gamble and find it unlikely that they are willing to write off these players as quickly as some on here.
  22. Nice of them to let us know early so we can get off to bed.
  23. Nothing happening then.
  24. Who are your four mates?
