Just watching the England v Scotland match on Sky Sports as the family and I know Joseph Gomes the England number 5. Noticed Mark Wotte is coaching the Scotland schoolboys. Was wondering why we don't have any players in the squad. Watched a couple of the games this year and no sign of a Saint.

Correct. However it's still part of a good run and the points difference between us and midtable is pretty close.

Don't get me wrong this is an important game, a win here would be immense and I hate that we seem to have shot ourselves in the foot yet again. It's just that buzzing drone in the eardrum.

Doing quite a good impression of one yourself. It's a big ask expecting him to make the step up but I'd imagine after the two more experienced keepers have failed to cover themselves in glory that NA thought he might as well have the young 'un making the mistakes while he gains experience. At least I don't panic every time the ball is passed to him like I used to with kelv.

From what I can see there is no first match, it's match choice straight up. Oh and by the way, get a room the lot of you. And finally... Conspiracy theorists, you're all wrong. While I'd love to congratulate Nigel and the boys on today's performance, the real reason that we won is that I turned the bog roll the 'wrong' way around again just before the first goal just to see if it would work again, and it did. Overall a good performance, but it has to be said QPR for all their talent are a poor team. Thought Ramirez looked a bit lazy out of possession in the first half but put it about a bit more in the second. For all our nice interplay in midfield and up front I felt we didn't create enough decent chances first half. Second half we had enough to have put the game to be alot earlier. A lot of good performances, Lallana, Puncheon, Cork, Shaw and Clyne all had good games. Thought Lambert on the whole was great but didn't seem fully on song, misplacing a fair few passes and looking pretty tired by midway through the second half. My special mention has to go to Fonte though. He didn't have a huge amount to do but I think it says something about the man that his life in the Premier League started so badly yet in the last few matches he has looked a lot more composed. Sad that I rely on my football team so much to give my weekends a pep up but this is the best I've felt on a saturday night in quite a while.

I'd imagine at least his confidence won't be shot to bits. Should be bloody hungry to make up for lost time too. May not be world class but could provide just the boost we need.
