Davis a goalie who has been immense for us in the past and shown great loyalty. I think Gazza has looks v poor tbh. Do you agree Derry that if Davis is fit you would play him next week ?

Very good result considering we had a lot of injuries. Gazza not v good at all. Osvaldo awful, lambert struggling, chambers and shaw and lovren v good. Lallana made a difference and Morgan wasn't fit but did okay. J rod getting better every game. Roll on next week. Gazza 5-awful error second half. Not convinced. Chambers 7- Clyne better at mo but he did v well. Lovren 8-class. Hooiveld 4-awful error Shaw 8-brilliant game. Cork 7-solid. Jwp 5- poor again. Struggling. Davis 7- made the goal but messed up a couple of crucial passes when it was 1-1 when we had great options. Maybe harsh. J rod 8-always a threat. Is that 5 goals in 6? Lambert 5-better second half but not picking right pass or getting in right areas. Osvaldo 3-awful. No effort at all. Just doesn't look what we need. Subs: Lallana 7-don't know why he didn't start. Playing well. Morgan 6-didn't look as sharp as usual but can't wait til he's fit against spurs. I'm always accused of being obsessed with lambert but I've noticed that every time there's a thread on him you pipe up with a negative opinion. The guy is reason we are in prem on the pitch.

No, stone ham was a complete goer but Lowe couldn't afford it so he tried to put loads of retail development on the plans and got kicked out. It was Southampton city council who gave us the land for it and then we just scrapped to afford it. Lowe made himself a millionaire when he took us over from the rubbish reverse takeover.

Well it's too his credit he can do that but I'm saying it means he's not in the box so much and then his scoring rate is down. However, even when in middle I think he'd hold ball up better than osvaldo has so far. I'm not saying osvaldo won't be better he may well be and deserves to start after sat IMO.

No I'm saying for him in an idea world he'd stay in the middle. He's not getting any younger. Shearer was able to do this as he got older. However, he's adapted his game to get involved in the build up etc but it stops him being in right place so much. Unser Adkins, he was mainly in the middle and his scoring rate was superior. It's great that's he's done aswell as he has with the new way of playing. But his scoring rate is far down on what is was under Adkins.
