  1. Not sure I'd describe the Saints ticket office being inconsistent in how they apply their own policies as particularly strange, to be honest
  2. Looks like they've included Arsenal and/or Chelsea purchases in their eligibility criteria, in case anyone thought they might be one short for the first priority window.
  3. Except that didn't happen. Signed on 8th August 2011, made his England debut on 26th May 2012, having made 26 appearances for Arsenal that season.
  4. Didn't realise Wimbledon had missed a penalty and had a goal disallowed as well Only just seen the goals from their heroic JPT defeat, the first one's a belter
  5. Starting lineup: Hart; Walker, Smalling, Jagielka, Cole; Gerrard, Cleverley; Townsend, Rooney, Lallana; Sturridge. Would expect to see Lambert off the bench at some point, doubt Rodriguez will get another go this time.
  6. I particularly liked the yellow card he gave the Coventry player for having the temerity to have the ball ****ted at his arse from 5 yards, and yet earlier in the game they could justifiably have had two players sent off, but were only given one yellow between them!
  7. Yep, think it was 5-1, and the 1 was a typical testimonial penalty awarded to let Knight score on his big night.
  8. That, and probably a portion of season ticket money. I'd expect whoever they're using to process credit card payments will continue to release the funds pro-rata until they've demonstrated a culture of paying their debts as and when they fall due. Likewise with the finance company used for any sort of payment plan.
  9. It would certainly explain why he didn't know the libel law...
  10. Can't wait to see that goal on TV
  11. I assume the "Engagement Manager" obtained his ticket in the stick-your-hand-in-the-bin-athon last week, rather than use the position he's wormed himself into at the club to get a freebie? All in it together like a true community club, after all... Also, wasn't Hall one of the main protagonists whinging like **** when Jordan Sibley had a laugh at Pompey's expense on Twitter a year or two ago and demanded either an apology or his head on a spike? Rather odd that he's happy to spout that nonsense in that case.
  12. As funny as them getting dicked by a side who were in non-league a couple of years ago may be, it's the sort of result that will make people in decision-making positions take note. I guess Whittingham's saving grace may be that they probably can't afford to sack him.
  13. 4
  14. Good price, I sold mine to the office nerd for the same amount (no case, couple of minor nicks on the edge) when my Nexus 5 arrived
  15. 2-0 Edit: make that 3 Altogether now: Underground, Overground, Wombling free, the Wombles of Wimbledon, 3-up v Pompey
  16. If you've got decent eyesight, the away end at St James' Park gives you a great view. If your eyesight is a bit ropey, it'll be the worst view in the league. It can be a bit "Sensible Soccer", I guess, but if you're interested in the tactical side of the game, it's perfect.
  17. £37 is quite a jump from the price we paid last season!
  18. Raheem Sterling is hilariously ****. There might be a half-decent player in there somewhere if he had half a brain cell.
  19. Someone from Portsmouth FC saying "we owe you"? I'm flabbergasted...
  20. Loads of options, basically find anywhere that's on the District line and you'll be in easy reach of the ground. Clapham's fine, but you'd need to get a train to West Brompton to change onto the tube, and those trains are absolutely rammed at weekends as they go to Westfield.
  21. Not a proven victory, IIRC, the case was never heard. Considering the fact that Nadaj has ****ed off without paying his legal bill, why hasn't Hall reinstated his blog posts?
  22. Why doesn't he just offer to pay 0.4p in the pound over the next 5 years?
  23. He either wilfully lied to you, then, or was misled by someone else within the ticket office. I've just spoken to someone at the Chelsea ticket office, querying the article that was posted on their website last week about "extra Southampton tickets", he said that the tickets there were some internal returns, but confirmed that Saints had only requested an allocation of 1500 seats.
  24. I still stand by my belief that it was a strange footballing decision to let him leave, considering he had fitted in perfectly well to the system last season, and it has still left us short of options should we either suffer injuries or a lack of ideas. In games like the Sunderland and Norwich ones earlier in the season where we didn't have both full-backs overlapping to create width (only one v Sunderland and neither at Norwich), he'd have been perfect to give us that wide option. You'd imagine we would have to be very lucky for neither Clyne or Shaw to miss any further games this season, and while Chambers and Fox can do a job to varying levels of success for us, neither of them play the same way as our first choice pair, so if they're unavailable for whatever reason, we need to be able to adapt accordingly. Puncheon almost certainly wouldn't be in our ideal first choice starting eleven, but he's better than most - if not all - of the backup players we currently have.
