  1. Yeah, OS article says it's an initial allocation but we can get more if the demand is there.
  2. Yeah, I thought it was a bit odd that only a week ago they were something like £70k short, and yet they (presumably, haven't seen any confirmation) reached their target. These sort of things tend to work on a law of diminishing returns, so there's a big rush of donations to begin with, and it gradually slows down after the early rush and publicity.
  3. I don't think that's ever been in any doubt, tbf I'm pleased they're looking into some sort of solution like this, although I personally would have gone down the route Fulham started using last season where you can add credit to your season ticket card and there's a separate "VIP" queue for those using those cards rather than cash, but still giving people the option of using cash. I wouldn't be in favour of the Bundesliga option where you have to buy a separate card for food/drink purchases, which is a massive pain in the arse for people who are only there for one game.
  4. I disagree. I think the vast majority have said we need another keeper, if only to put pressure on Boruc, and it's always best - where possible - to sign someone who is better than you already have, to introduce competition for places and improve the overall level of the squad. For me, Forster is probably as good as Boruc (some attributes will be better, others less so, but all can be worked on), and absolutely better than both Gazzaniga and Davis. If you only buy someone to be a backup, you get into the situation we were in in 2005 where we had a bloated squad, no competition for places and stagnation. All of the players we've signed so far (with the possible exception of Taider, not seen enough of him to have any idea, really) are better than what we currently have in those positions.
  5. By the sound of it, that'll be happening pretty soon as well.
  6. Mills is a tricky one. He played in the 1982 World Cup, but didn't sign for us until November and wasn't picked for any of the three internationals (2 of which were qualifiers) in between.
  7. Shilton certainly qualifies, that was 1982. Anyone more recent?
  8. A question I put out on Twitter as well, who was the last current England international we signed? By "current" I mean currently being picked in the squad.
  9. Agreed. It would also represent a fairly sizeable risk to chuck Forster in at Anfield having only had a week's training with the back 4 he's got to play behind.
  10. Despite it now being nigh-on impossible with the FFP regulations preventing owners just injecting hundreds of millions of pounds.
  11. That seems to ignore the fact that everyone was screaming blue murder at the guy for having gone quiet and not said anything while everyone was being linked with a move away. The complaints were that the words he and Les Reed came out with were quite wooly, they wanted something finite and categorical. They got that, and yet STILL people are ****ing whinging.
  12. The bit I've highlighted is the important part for me. At this stage, the club hasn't received an offer that comes remotely close to his value.
  13. By all accounts, Spurs have only offered £10m for him so far, so as long as that situation keeps up, he's going nowhere. If (and it's a big if, considering this is Daniel "last day of the window" Levy we're dealing with) Spurs double the offer (at least) then we may have to reconsider, but we're not at that stage yet.
  14. Amused that Koeman said "I don't want to talk about individuals who we may want to sign" before agreeing that both Gardos and Rios are players we're interested in
  15. Likewise, having scored less than 6 an over in the 50, it seemed a bit harsh to make Leicestershire chase at nearly 8, but looks like we bowled pretty poorly overall.
  16. Ramirez as a reserve rather than first team or fringe?
  17. Cheers, will look into that. *searches for Tapatalk control panel login details*
  18. I knew it was Balmer but thought it was a bit too sad knowing it...
  19. In the first year that the Football League adopted squad numbers in the early-to-mid-90s, Charlton assigned their squad numbers alphabetically as well. One of their centre-backs had the number 1 shirt, which was pretty weird.
  20. Stoke will be there or thereabouts. I'd be amazed if either West Ham or Palace are as high as 10th and 11th, though.
  21. Not confirmed yet.
  22. Cheers for reinforcing my laziness
  23. My purchase history isn't available on the new site, but when I emailed the club to ask about it, they confirmed I'd bought for enough games to qualify for a Liverpool ticket, but of course the new online system thinks otherwise
