That is pathetic, risking 20,000 to win 400 less BF commission ?? Must have more money than sense.

Well I know the bookies will be happy tonight
  3. LOL I don't recall us ever losing to them albeit it is going back many years since we played in the same Division ( 77/78 I would imagine as a draw there in our penultimate game all but sealed promotion as did the 1-1 back in 65/66) So I have happy memories of Leyton Orient !!
  4. He's an arrogant so and so. There are plenty of examples especially when he appears on live Poker ( purely due to being well known) and invariably makes a prat of himself in the process. What a pillock !!
  5. Hants win Surrey finally made 173-8. Good bowling by Tahir, Cork and Taylor who took 2 wickets each. Taylor expensive at 2-38 but made the final break throughs to clinch the win.
  6. 191/6 in total. Surrey chasing well but now need 24 off 7 balls with 4 wickets left. Fortunately Taylor has just removed Ramprakash who scored 73 off 47 and whilst I type Taylor has Schofield for 0. Now need 22 off 4 balls!
  7. Oh I think if the bookies would take a bet on a statue of Le Tiss being built take any odds they'll give you !
  8. Indeed which speaks volumes!
  9. It would as he is great on there and I love the reparte between him and Jeff Stelling et al, in fact I watch it more for that than the footie! That said if it comes down to it there really is only one place for Matty and that is St Mary's. He truly is up their with the all time greats including dear old Ted Bates and I don't think I can pay a higher compiment than that !
  10. Hants going well, 109/1 off 10 overs.
  11. Goodwood 5.05 Eightdaysaweek Lingfield 8.10 I Confess If I was looking for a banker then Alrasm in the 2.30 at Donny would be it but at around evens it's too short for me to get involved.
  12. Which given we are useless also means it will be the best of a bad bunch will qualify! Don't know why Cork is not playing, injured ?
  13. Yes, that figures. It doesn't matter whether we pay £5 a year or £500 a year to be members we still should be consulted before such a change. I think an apology is in order though I'm not holding my breath !
  14. So am I right in thinking The Betting Forum has become a blooming Motoring Forum ? When was this decided and by who ?? If the members on here were asked and I just didn't see it then I'm not going to complain, however if it just happened as a few people decided then that's bang out of order.
  15. Now 96/7 off 16. Looking good so far !
  16. Dawson bowled very well, 2-18 off his 4. Surrey 80-5 off 12. Unless we use a 6th bowler it will be 2 more overs for Dimi and Tahir, 1 for Riazuddhin and 3 for Taylor.
  17. Think the weather might be a bit iffy but should be a good chance of playing. On the selection front I was thinking that KP would be available and then I remembered he was injured!
  18. Excellent, Dimi will of course play. I wonder if they might leave out Liam Dawson unless it's a pitch conducive to spin though we have Tahir and Carberry anyway ?
  19. Beverly 19.20 Little Scotland
  20. I think it's running at Lingfield so it would be a wonderful performance if it could win at Brighton
  21. The decline of Newcastle has not been sudden, it's been building over a few seasons. The various reasons such as appointing the wrong Managers, signing players who were past their best etc; In the final analysis Newcastle were a very, very poor team. The fact that they could not even finish ahead of Hull who lost to Man U reserves just about sums it up. I doubt if any of the "Big 4 " clubs will be looking too closely at who they can sign as I'm not sure many if any of their players would even get on their subs benches. So as Nickh pointed out it's very unlikely they'll be able to generate significant cash from selling players, the few good ones they had are already gone. They were the smart ones!
  22. Excellent crowd as well, about 6,000 which does indicate that 20/20 is an important part of the game now whether you love it or loathe it.
  23. Yes it seems like an excellent performance. Giles White was talking about Hants and 20/20 on the ECB website: http://www.ecb.co.uk/news/domestic/twenty20-cup/white-targets-twenty20-improvement,305542,EN.html “I don’t think we’re far away, we’re in a tough division but we’ll be looking to qualify and obviously be successful in that competition.” The southern group certainly looks the toughest on paper - with Surrey, Kent and Middlesex all having won the trophy before, and Sussex and Essex both having reached finals day in the past. But White believes Hampshire have enough fire power to go all the way. “I believe that if we stay fit, the bowlers stay fit, and international calls are kindish to us then I think we can challenge by the end of the season,” he said. “You go into a season always looking to win things and I don’t see that it’s any different this year.”
  24. Lol 133/8 off 20 ! Riazuddin bowled very well with 3-15 off his 4 overs. Cork 3-30. Seems Tahir bowled well also, 1-22 off his 4. Over to the batsmen now, would think 133 is below par ?
  25. Very strange on Cricinfo, they seem miles behind with the score ? I believe the game started at 2.30pm, 5 minutes ago it just said Sussex were batting first, then 1-0 off 1 ball, then 17/2 off 3.3 and now 50/3 off 7.4. I suspect though the innings is finished ! Oh it's 57/3 off 9.2 now!
