  1. Are you always so fickle "The Sutton to Milton Keynes train (goes via Clapham Junction and Watford) stops at Wembley Central usually, which was going to be my alternative plan for tomorrow. Now that's been scuppered, I'm not bothering."
  2. That has happened a few times, mainly on the Victoria line as I believe. Pure luck that no one was hurt especially bearing in mind this is probably the most overcrowded line on the network. The driver would be facing more than the sack I reckon if anyone had been seriously injured or God forbid killed.
  3. Just because he's a Man Utd player doesn't mean he can't be considered a great player or as a favourite player. Leaving aside my Saints bias I'd have to say that Ryan Giggs is also one of the all time greats and such a modest, unassuming player too. In many ways Man U's MLT. Now I might get slaughtered but's it my opinion and I'm entitled to it.
  4. I'm curious as to how they are finding all this money, have they been taken over by yet another mulit-billionaire Russian ??
  5. It would be great for Boro but I cannot see Neville wanting to play in the CCC unless he has a very good friendship with Southgate. His chances with Man Utd are likely to be limited though. It also says Boro are interested in Paul Scholes which I would say is even more ambitous.
  6. This is a real topsy turvy game! Hants after their collapse finished on 295 and Notts are now 45-3, check 47-4 ! 3-14 for Tomlinson.
  7. Of course the point about Rod Laver is a very valid one though to suggest people have short memories when I suspect far more than 50% of users on here were not even born when he was playing is stretching it a bit far!
  8. Not sure why Dawson is playing though James Vince is in the team. Far as I know his only previous 1st class game was v Loughborough.
  9. That's unfair, he scored 2 v the mighty Trinidad and Tobago If I'm right 4 of his 8 goals for England have been v Andorra !
  10. Beverley 4.00 Carpe Diem Kempton 7.50 Alexander Loyalty
  11. Sorry but is ageism allowed on here
  12. Agreed, I thought 8/1 was too big a price and he gave me a good run for my money. Have added him to my "ones to watch list".
  13. Good, seems RUK will survive and doubt I'll need to pay more than £9.99 pm for that alone? http://www.racingpost.co.uk/c4/show_story.sd?psection=racingpost.co.uk&page=Top%20Stories&story_id=1004759
  14. Well I'm only paying £9.99 pm ! Still my only concern really is Racing UK.
  15. Lol Watford might well be as reasonably close as you'll get if you are coming off the M25! Personally if I were coming that way I'd turn off near Heathrow ( if you're on the M3) and then Uxbridge and head through Hillingdon, Eastcote and Pinner. That route will also make Harrow a decent option, just remember to set your Satnav!
  16. If you are really fit you could jog from there but it is on the BR line to Marlyebone ( Chiltern rail) and trains are definitely not stopping at: Harrow-on-the-Hill, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood, Chalfont and Latimer, Amersham. Plus of course Wembley Central. This is the link to Chiltern Railways: http://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/news/latest-news/important-announcement-for-wembley-passengers/
  17. 12.30 should do it fine! Parking anywhere in London is of course difficult and in Wembley on a match day next to impossible. There is a car park for sure at Harrow and Wealdstone station and if you are lucky you might get a BR train to one of the stations I mentioned earlier even if trains are not stopping at Wembley Central. Also unless they have changed the parking restrictions near H & W station ( quite possible) you could park in one of the streets nearby. Last I was there parking was only restricted between 10am-11am and that to stop commuters. Can't be sure though.
  18. Well that is interesting! No BR trains from Marylebone stop at Wembley Park anyway which only leaves Wembley Central and as a rule I believe only the slow trains stop there and even if they miss out Wembley Central there's always Stonebridge Park, North Wembley and South Kenton which are within walking distance. I predict complete chaos and many fans arriving just as the match is finishing !
  19. Very thoughtful of the tube drivers to go on strike. I wouldn't fancy trying to get anywhere in and around Wembley tomorrow. I can hardly imagine what the always chaotic roads will be like! Thanks goodness it's only Andorra.
  20. Redcar 3.00 Honimiere
  21. Indeed I am not sure but if it helps this is the product info: Intel® Core 2 Quad Q8200 (2.33GHz, 4MB Cache) Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium 4GB DDR2 memory 640GB SATA hard drive (7200rpm) In terms of IE I have Firefox which supports Flash Player and IE64 which clearly does not. On my desktop the IE icon takes me to IE64 though accessing Firefox is simply a question of doing so via the start menu. Ideally though I'd like the Desktop link to open Firefox by default though it's not really too much of an issue!
  22. I think they do but only if they like throwing their money away
  23. No, with me and PC's no question is a daft one I'm pretty sure both versions are ! Should I remove IE8 and if so how !?
  24. Now I just have to try to make it my default browser !!
