Ditto, 100% agree, just relax and enjoy the weather

It's already been mentioned and was pretty much my first thought too. Was by Talking Heads.

Indeed, I thought he must be injured. That said Mascarenhas and Tahir were the most expensive bowlers with Tremlett, Ervine and Cork going for between 6.5-7.5 an over. Perhaps Hants don't want to play him in every game as he is still developing and also with Tahir now back he is always going to be the main spinner. So maybe a case of being rested rather than dropped, after all the poor old England players are always too tired to play for their counties!

Well done, despite fierce competition I reckon that is the most absurd comment yet on this topic. Of course you are entitled to an opinion but for heavens sake base it on facts and not some ill conceived notion that this takeover has not been well managed. Tony Lynam has actually kept us informed which is a rarity for us fans. Just let things take their course, we are all anxious for this to be resolved but quite frankly criticising our prospective saviour is really not the way to go.

Yes, Lumb was deservedly MOM. Luckily I caught the replay, thought Tremlett bowled excellently though consistent bowling all round. Win our last 2 games and we're through. Kent at the Rose Bowl on Friday and Essex at Chelmsford on Sunday. "Brilliant crowd" according to Charles Colville !
-
Not to mention Sean Wright-Phillips and he was given little chance by Scolari, result of course he returned to Man City !

I'm 53 and remember the really good times but I'd rather we started where we should start which is in League 1, don't recall us being relegated two divisions in one go in all honesty. Going to court is only being considered in respect of the 10 point deduction and not which league we play in.

Think it might be your own fault for not simply using the refresh tab in your browser !

More likely explains why his middle names are Le and Tissier

Many things may happen between now and the start of the season but being expelled from the League or being forced into League 2 is not one of them. Too much scare mongering on here, Pinnacle are quite within their rights to clarify any issue they please and no matter how people regard the FL at the end of the day they have an obligation too and will no doubt fulfill this. The people I feel most sorry for are GP's who must have waiting rooms full of nervous wrecks !!

Pleased we won but having waited all season for us to be on TV I did not realise this game was being shown and I always check.........well nearly always!

Glad to see Hants have won the toss and are batting 1st as we seem to do better than if we are chasing. Teams are: Pothas†, SM Ervine, MJ Lumb, MA Carberry, Imran Tahir, JHK Adams, CC Benham, LA Dawson, DG Cork, CT Tremlett, AD Mascarenhas* M Kartik, EJG Morgan, ST Finn, GK Berg, BJM Scott†, SD Udal*, BA Godleman, OA Shah, DJ Malan, T Henderson, NJ Dexter

Many a true word.......... Maybe Beckham is THE money man
-
Agree totally as will be clear from my posts on a couple of the myriad of threads that keep popping up, I lose track of what threads I'm following and have to check my user CP !!
-
What ? He scored 50 against the mighty Hants only last week Seriously he's nailed on for his bowling alone and assuming Prior bats 6 which I think he will he is certainly a good player to have coming in at 7.
-
I never watched a single game so that is one thing I certainly will not miss!

Yes it has ceased trading as per the message on their news channel: SETANTA HAS CEASED TRADING IN GREAT BRITAIN Though at least RUK is still on air

I have nothing to add to my comments made early this morning ( except my headache has gone!) and make no apologies for simply repeating what I said: Indeed, my patience is wearing thin but this is due to misinformed, ill judged and ill advised comments made by people such as NC who seem intent as you say lancelot to disrupt moral. I'm happy to state that for the record I wholly support Pinnacle in their efforts to conclude this deal and appreciate that being rail roaded into accepting something which seems to be illegal is not something any reasonable person/entity would accept without exploring EVERY option available. Ultimately I believe we all want the same thing and until there is anything to suggest Pinnacle are not planning to proceed and throw away at least £500,000 in the process I'm prepared to let this take it's course. Buying into something like this is a massive deal, far greater than say buying a house which invariably takes months. If anyone knows anything about Company Law which dictates that a deal must proceed within the 21 day exclusivity period please feel free to enlighten me as I'm not aware of any such legislation. As I see it the 21 day period ensures that any group has time to try to conclude a takeover but given the complexity of the proposed takeover nobody in their right mind would conclude such a deal until all issues are resolved. The fact that the FL and Pinnacle are working together to resolve this suggests that this will be concluded soon. One final thought and that is if the FL were to deny us access would they actually gain from this ? I think it's clear that it would be a lose-lose situation denying access to a team who will only benefit League One with it's excellent stadium, large support and long history. Otherwise the options are to reduce the League by one team = 2 less games and less revenue or to promote another team from League 2 which apart from being very unfair would completely mess up the fixture list. So it is in no one's interest to prevent the takeover from happening and I'm sure the FL as well as Pinnacle are aware of this. So though I'm only online as I woke up with a splitting headache ( must be all this stress ) I'm very appreciative of Tony posting a message at 1am in the morning when I'm sure he would much rather get some much needed sleep!

Can't get BBC South

Indeed, if my impression is correct and I think most people see it the same way ( well maybe, I'm as confused as the next person!) it's just a point of principle and the FL for whatever reason will not allow us to appeal. This suggests to me they are not confident of their position and so are saying as it is our league join on our terms or not at all. Really sinking to very low depths resorting to what is essentially blackmail but it's not a surprise. Think it's time to accept the inevitable and hope this one point will not prevent the takeover. If it does I'd say 1000's of Saints fans would be perfectly within their rights to sue the FL.

Indeed more than a suggestion and I for one will keep quiet about them at least until AFTER all this is sorted !!
