  1. To do something in a "timely manner" is to do something reasonably quickly so it's impossible to give any definite time other than it should be reasonably soon !!
  2. Wolverhampton 4.30 Elkhorn Decent price at 6/1 Windsor 9.10 Googoobarabajagal looks over priced at 12/1 though I also like the chances of Morning Sir Alan (13/2) who acts on fast ground and is very consistent with five place finishes in the last 6 races. I Confess looks a very solid bet and has been backed into 6/1 from 8/1 this morning.
  3. Firstly you make a massive assumption that somehow you know far more than any one else then in the next breath you're saying that something doesn't add up about Pinnacle indicating you haven't a clue what this "something" is ? Rather than speaking in riddles I suggest you either enlighten us all as to how you seem to know so much or just stick to what you do know. Otherwise you come across as someone who is seeking attention for the sake of it.
  4. Well when the article starts with saying we are on the brink of closure it rather makes you inclined to read no further. They need to generate interest when there is little or no football going on so our situation is ideal for just that.
  5. Maybe your local free paper are trying to save costs by having all their staff based abroad Seriously though that is weird but thanks as I know this is going to bug me all night
  6. Well we can do both rather well but lack consistency. It will help if Tremlett can stay fit as he's an important player for us. It's a shame he's injury prone but I feel sorry for him as some players do seem to have never ending injury problems. Anyway a last day report on the ECB website : http://www.ecb.co.uk/news/domestic/lv-county-championship/lan-ham,306170,EN.html
  7. Lol, did not need to worry !! Excellent win, well done lads!
  8. I'm optimistic lol However, I might just return to this site only at 5pm or so to see that you've posted that we cruised to victory !
  9. Looks promising barring a last wicket stand ! Anyway with only Chapple and Keedy left and Tahir bowling well ( 5-94 so far) and Tremlett with two more wickets we should finish them off pretty sharpish and hopefully have a nice win under our belts by tea time. Considering Lancs were 176-2 before Flintoff and Paxman got out that's a Hants style collapse!
  10. Moving away from Ascot a horse I think might run well is Zuzu in the 3.50 at Newmarket. Best priced 7/1 looks a decent price to me.
  11. In light of this message I also feel that any further emails to the FL might be counter productive or at best a waste of time. Time to be patient and stay cool !
  12. Thanks again Tony, that's very reassuring and I'm sure everyone on here appreciates you taking the time to keep us informed. Well done to you !
  13. Cannot say I am surprised at the lack of tips for today, whilst I might have a few small sporting ew bets it's possibly the trickiest day of the lot. However, since once again I'm having a crack at the free ATR challenge on the basis someone has to win my selections are : 2.30 Emperor Claudius . I think this O'Brien horse might have room for improvement and a solid 11/2 in the market. 3.05 Campanologist. Ideally would like to oppose the 1st 2 in the market ( the current favourite being Dr Freemantle) but absolutely nothing stands out so at 5/2/11/4 Campanologist it is. 3.45 I have a feeling Sacred Kingdom is the one to beat but at 12/1 Kingsgate Native looks a reasonable enough price for an ew bet. 4.25 Exclamation. Looks to be certainly overpriced, 25/1 with Hills 5.00 Pires 8/1 with Hills looks a fair enough price 5.35 Oh lord, I cannot see me having a real bet in this very trappy contest but I'm focusing on the Henderson pair of Caraciolla and Tasheba. I'm going to opt for Tasheba which looks rock solid in the market even if 4/1 is not a great price.
  14. Perhaps someone should remind Lord Mawhinney and co that this country is still a democracy and tin pot dictators are not generally tolerated. Regardless of whether anyone feels the points deduction is right or wrong, fair or unjustified the right of appeal should be a given and any attempt to prevent such an appeal would under most circumstances be illegal. So though it's hard for people not to want Pinnacle to just agree and complete the deal that's rather giving in to what is tantamount to blackmail. I'll be interested to see what develops over the next few days and though I would have loved the deal to have gone through today I also feel taking a stand on this issue is justified. I'm confident this deal will go through, I can't imagine so much time, money and effort being put in by all concerned only for them to allow the deal to collapse and there is also the much more emotive issue of whether MLT will allow it to happen bearing in mind the possible consequences. Anyway, fair play to Tony Lynam, it's so rare these days that the fans are considered to be important enough to be kept informed as to what is happening to THEIR club and at the end of the day all of us on here who have supported Saints be it for 40+ years like myself or just 40 days are the people who make the club possible and the lack of consideration given to the fans these days, the constant changing of dates for games on the whim of Sky etc ( though at least we won't have too much to worry about on that score !) is quite frankly disgraceful.
  15. Thanks, yes, at least I got the name right when it mattered ie placing my bet To be honest my main reasons for backing it were the Hills/Dunlop partnership and the fact 25/1 looked too big. In the event clearly 16/1 was too big also! Part of the reason I'm sure was that Aegean was much too short.
  16. Personally I'm more concerned how Lancs are doing! Coincidentally they are 144/2 as well I don't think we can necessarily blame the bowlers as if Hants can make 345 and take a 1st innings lead of 137 then it suggests that it's not a bad pitch to bat on especially as Flintoff bowled 17 overs and took 2-60. He's now 36 not out which is good news for England even if we would rather he was out. As it is with Lancs only 7 runs ahead but with 8 wickets in hand this looks to be heading for a draw unless we can strike early tomorrow and even then it will probably rain !
  17. Yes, 100% exactly what my thoughts are so it's nice to agree with you Minty It's essentially the FL trying to rail road Pinnacle into signing an agreement when if they are so sure the points deduction is legal why do they need to do that?
  18. From 235-8 as well !! Dimi scored 108 off 112 balls and put on 76 with Tomlinson ( who made 6) and 32 with Tahir who made 24. Nice for our tail enders to do some damage for once.
  19. My tentative selections so far : 2.30 Both Lily Langtry and Aegean are too short for me though it's hard to know what to oppose them with. However, Hayabib at 25/1 looks a sporting ew bet. 3.05 Aqwaal at around 7/1 3.45 Regane at at best price of 12/1 though Rainbow View has good chances I feel. 4.20 I like Stone of Scone also but will opt for Mick Channon's Halicarnassus at around 16/1 4.55 Clowance House At around 16/1 5.30 Musaalem in what is a nigh on impossible race to pick the winner at around 12/1
  20. Was really pleased to see Yeats win. I had my doubts but it looked back to it's best or close to it.Must admit I was not overly impressed with some of the riding. Both Monsieur Chevalier and Radiohead were badly hampered and Radiohead did very well to win. The in a later race there was so much jostling for position that numerous horses were getting hampered, one good reason for just watching races with large fields!
  21. Harry who ?? Never heard of him TBH !
  22. I think it's guaranteed we'll have a few "new" fans !!
  23. Sorry, I beat you to it if you look above HTBH
  24. Keegan in any role would be great for us, as I posted elsewhere I'm confident whoever we get as Manager will not be a disappointment.
