I think people often call someone a "berk" without realising it derives from the ****ney rhyming slang expression Berkshire Hunt, you can work the rest out for yourselves !! Or maybe they do realise! We seem to have lots of people ITK so that the very few who do once in a while have something concrete tend not to be taken seriously. I'm not sure why anyone would claim to know something unless they were 100% sure of the facts but then again I'm not sure why so many people go digging for "information" , find what they think is something of note and then put 2 and 2 together and invariably come up with a load of old codswallop. Apart from the obvious, 76 Cup Final, promotion in 1978 etc; my favourite game would have to be a league cup tie v Derby in 1977 I think it was. We were still in Div 2 and Derby were top of Div 1. We completely played them off the park winning 5-0. I still remember a goal by Peter Osgood, a bullet like header into the top right hand corner of the Archers Road goal. Probably the best Saints performance I have ever seen and there are many candidates, I still remember 9-3 v Wolves in about 1966 !

As for Theo Walcott I'm sure he'll fulfill his potential. I always thought he left us a year too soon and picking him for the 2006 WC squad was just madness. Should have been allowed to develop as a player more gradually. I'm sure if Wenger offered him to us on loan 99% of the fans would be delighted, the other 1% as we know all too well on here are never happy!
