Being well supported nonetheless

In that case I doubt you'll be fit in time for Cheltenham but you might just have recovered enough to watch it from your sick bed ? Possibly, maybe, surely !

Celebrities and other 'famous' people you think are total bellends.

Indeed but the thread would have died at post 1 if that were the case. -

The one and only ( thankfully) Adrian Chiles, rarely if ever have I known a more irritating person with such an irritating voice. -
Well it was 10 days ago and far be it for you to trawl through a massive 60 posts let alone actually remembering

Go take a flying leap ! What about Obe wan ? He is a very distant relation, a few thousand years in the future I believe.
-
Yep, he is a nice guy, I can recall when he was about 10 and his Dad taking him to see Saints. It's a pretty fair chance anyone named Obee or O'Bee is related to me !
-
Yep, I had to think about it but he is my first cousin, once removed ! His Grand Dad, Eric, was obviously my uncle, we went to many Saints away games and some really great memories. Nick was on here at one point but that was a few years ago.

Of course the move changes a lot of things, not least that their contribution to the racing levy of £6m becomes voluntary. In terms of my experience I have felt for a number of months ( as indeed do many other people I know ) that it was almost as if you were dealing with a different company, this move just emphasises that feeling. I posted the email for information, as I said I don't really care where they are based from a personal perspective.

Ok, that will add to the fun ! Saints Web league created : League name Saints Web Challenge Chairman Mr Christopher Obee Pin 8000275 Members 1

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/leisure/8369475/Betfair-worries-racing-industry-with-move-offshore-to-save-tax.html I received an email from them yesterday stating : "This email is to inform you that Betfair has taken the decision to restructure the licensing of its UK business. The changes will not impact your betting experience or the features available to you. With effect from 00.01 on March 9th a new set of Terms and Conditions applies to the placement of Betfair exchange bets by you. These new terms will be available to view at Betfair.com from the above time. After the above change comes into effect, any further use of our site, or services relating to it, will constitute acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions by you. This change means that from the above time, you will be contracting with a licensed betting operator (TSE (Gibraltar) LP) within the Betfair group which is based in Gibraltar, and not Betfair Ltd, as was the case before. TSE (Gibraltar) LP's activities will be governed by Gibraltar gambling regulations." Personally I have felt for some months that Betfair were becoming far less interested in their Customers than was previously the case, this move surprises me not in the least. To be honest my betting on horse racing etc; is minimal though as per the horse racing threads I do enjoy the challenge of trying to find winners. So I'm not really bothered, if I have a free bet I want to "lay back" to ensure a profit I can use Betdaq who are currently offering a decent promotion for Day 1 of Cheltenham : http://www.betdaq.co.uk/UI/?pc=CHELT11

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/9418641.stm Happened perchance at Havant and Waterlooville where a streaker ran onto the pitch. After he had run around numerous players the Dorchester player/manager, Ashley Vickers, put an end to his "fun" with an excellent rugby tackle. However, the referee decided this was violent conduct, Vickers was sent off ! Personally I think Vickers should be praised for his actions as indeed did the players of both teams, the Stewards and Steve Claridge who was there. Bizarre !

Interesting that according to that 21 of the 24 teams could still finish top, Walsall, Bristol Rovers and Swindon could still finish 2nd. Apparently EVERY team could still finish bottom, just a tad unlikely

There is a thread about Pilkington, suffered a really nasty injury and is going to be out for months. Their RB, Lee Peltier, is out for another 3 games as he is suspended.

There has certainly been an over reaction on this issue especially by Solent. However, a minutes silence/applause would have been entirely appropriate and I don't believe, for one second, it would have dampened the atmosphere at the game. That said I do agree there are reasons why the club might have decided against it, in the main the tributes already paid. Personally I think it was an error of judgement not to pay our respects last night, others clearly feel differently. So be it.

Yep, it is Tremlett. The obvious replacement and he should be reasonably fresh: http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/content/current/story/504764.html Meanwhile Imran Tahir has fractured his left thumb but is expected to continue playing : http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc_cricket_worldcup2011/content/current/story/504997.html

It was faster tonight than it was at 3pm today !!

I certainly expected a minutes silence ( at least) tonight. Poor decision to do nothing tonight TBH

Stuart Broad to miss rest of WC due to injury. Meanwhile Vettori has suffered a knee injury that sounds bad. Still Pakistan 73/6 and slipping away fast.
