Fugly match but we win 3-0! So not very entertaining and both teams looked ragged but we had enough class to win and by a big margin! Yeovil were quick to a lot of the ball which meant we couldn't hang on to it and make for a scrappy game. Roll on Saturday though, we'll raise our game for Bompey.

Who are we paying interest to? We've finished paying the WWII war debt to the US so I'm struggling to think who we now owe interest to. Much of this financial crisis has come about through banks marketing debt as a commodity, crashing and then effectively getting nationalised in a bail out.

Nothing at all to do with a global recession and the banks greed then? And what will happen when the infrastructure starts to break down due to these cuts in the public sector? It is starting to happen already with police overtime being stopped; and libraries shutting. Oh hang on, if the masses haven't got access to literature, they can't educate themselves and they will therefore be easier to subjugate!! That coupled with increases in university fees....Genius!!! Let's not forget that the rush to sort out this economic [global] crisis is political; there is absolutely no need to try and wipe the slate clean in 4 years so there is absolutely no need to dismantle the public sector or the NHS.

It is a great remake. In fact, at the risk of incurring the wrath and ire of hardened John Wayne fans, I thought that Bridges played the part of Rooster Cogburn better. There were a couple of times where Bridges was quite genuinely scary as a hired gun and he tempered this with well timed humour. Hailee Steinfeld played the part of Mattie Ross with a maturity that belied her youth; the scene with the horse/pony trader is absolute quality. Like Saintbletch says, go and see it!!! PS The only film of the Coen's that I really don't like is The Ladykillers; you just cannot improve on the perfection of the original.

As I understand it, the national debt at the moment stands at 11% of the GDP. And this hasn't been left to us by the last government but from a general global economic collapse and the greed of the multinational banks. Anyway, national debt; 11% of the GDP. This really isn't that desperate and certainly doesn't mean that we have to make savage cuts at the public sector, NHS, civil service etc. Don't forget that in 1948, when we had just fought a long and bloody war, the national debt stood at nearly 50% of the GDP and what did we do then? Introduced a welfare state and national health service that was and could still be, the envy of the world.

Animal Kingdom An absolute gem of an Australian crime thriller. Seventeen year old Josh finds himself living with his Grandma and her bank robbing and violent sons after the death of his Mum due to a heroin overdose. What follows is a tale of misplaced loyalty, betrayal and retribution. It's a very dark and sometimes disturbing film that lays bare some basic and almost feral human emotions and reactions in the family and within Josh as he struggles to survive in an an alien environment. 8.5/10

Definitely not me, even my inferiority complex isn't as good as anyone elses. -

Not the best game of footy I've ever seen and in the second half I had to keep reminding myself that Carlisle were a man light. But it's 3 points and grinding out maximum points against stubborn opposition has to be done. Very happy with the 3 points but the performance was certainly lacking.
