Schneiderlin reminds me very much of Oakley. Has bags of ability including the ability to frequently go missing in matches. With both players I felt that they should have done so much more going forward. Neither are your typical 'defensive midfeidler' and they spend/spent far too much time coasting through games. Oakley was a stalwart for many years and deserves respect for that but he always infuriated me, as Schneiderlin does - because he had the ability to do so much more than he actually did.

Maybe signing about 7 players on 7k a week would have been better than signing 3 on a combined 50+ grand a week. Just a thought, with them being short of numbers and all that. I agree with this. he'd be mad to go to one of those. I know he'll get moer cash to spend and more cash for himself but he'd probably be sacked within a year. what's the rush, stay at Bournemouth - it's not as if he's old and Charlton are his last shot at the dream.

Bridgey decided not to be a footballer when he settled for being 2nd choice at a big club for the past 6 years during what should have been the best years of his career, as well as being in the papers for the girls he's dating all the time. Haven't got much time for him any more to be honest.

Harding has made a lot of defensive mistakes this season and often seems to be ball watching. Also, he often fails to stop the cross coming in by not getting close enough quickly enough. Dickson is easily his equal as a defender, is quicker and is better going forward.
