  1. He has been unusually quiet so far; the whole team is quiet and subdued.
  2. Nonsense - Gabbiadini is a better striker than Long every day of the week. On what basis does Long make perfect sense. No goals, no control or touch - just gut running.
  3. Agree. Midfield looks good; but Long instead of Gabbiadini is pure Pellegrini nonsense.
  4. If McQueen and Ward-Prowse are in our best 11 we really are in trouble. The Manager must be moved on; it's getting close to crisis time.
  5. I suppose Austin's action had a higher visibility than Vardys'. Plus, the goalkeeper (in possession) always get's that presumption of extra protection doesn't he? Then there was the immediate flow of claret from the head which gave a more serious impression than Virgil's foot. I thought Austin should have been red carded on the spot - the three match ban effectively confirms that thought.
  6. Only positives for me have been watching Lemina play (ankle permitting) and also glimpses of attacking class from Boufal. I've also got some anticipation about seeing Sims and Hesketh play a part in the new year although that may depend on how "safe" we are from relegation.
  7. This is one of the main things that bewilders me with Pellegrino - he consistently starts repeat failures Tadic, Redmond and Ward-Prowse in attacking roles and leaves Boufal as an afterthought sub. once we're behind and need a goal. His treatment off Gabbiadini is similarly negligent. Then you look at the ridiculous rotation, the lack of timing and strategy with subs and team set up, and you have a disaster. He's an abysmal Manager.
  8. I listened to a podcast this morning warning that the biggest reasons for emergency hospital admissions over the Xmas period are indigestion and road trauma!!!
  9. Take a valium, or have another pint for christ's sake. In a thus far miserable season for SFC, nothing has saddened me more than the decline of Stephen Davis. I think he is ready to return to Rangers.
  10. Imagine if Tadic had been their keeper - Austin would have got a life ban.
  11. Why do we need an open letter to the board? Have they not watched the 20 games we've played so far under Pellegrino?
  12. Wise up mate - Yoshida's a much better player than you're describing him. How do you rate Tadic, Redmond and Ward-Prowse?
  13. The charge is fair - should have been a straight red card.
  14. Not often I agree with you, but I do here. I'd add, I hate Tadic, and I hate hearing the commentators repeatedly tell me what an outstanding dead ball deliverer is JWP.
  15. Lemina had a great game. Tell me what you saw from Ward-Prowse to qualify him as"doing well"; it just seems such a luxury to have the guy loitering on the flank, with no pace or penetration and little defensive cover. It was quite sad to watch the continuing decline of Stephen Davis today. We were very weak in midfield today - Lemina aside.
  16. That's it in four words..."get him out now". Should have pocketed three points but a dross performance, overseen by a crap Manager, picking the wrong side in a very winnable fixture. Lemina head and shoulders above every other Saints player.
  17. And still he won't change things - no help for Lemina. Tadic ****e, Ward-Prowse absolute ****e, Davis awful. Anyone disagree?
  18. Agree, but it won't happen. I still don't see the point of JWP wide right either - yes, yes, his corners are good.
  19. He would have. Lemina is a bright spot for Saints today.
  20. Should have been a red card for Austin. Well taken goal but the team is awful so far.
  21. Championship team on paper, and playing like one too so far.
  22. Where's Boufal, Romeu, Hoj and VVD? Pellegrino out.
  23. Listen up Dalek - two things the Club aren't guilty of are arrogance and complacency. A hasty policy to sell off valued players and not replace them with anything like a similar quality is one major failing of Reed and his merry men. Another failing has been the indecisiveness and delay in appointing good coaches and managers, and in Puel and Pellegrino's case, indecisiveness and delay in replacing them. SFC executive were much too quick to concede the strong position we were in with a miscalculated assessment of the Academy; the trumpeting of the likes of Redmond, Ward-Prowse et al and the poor and delayed recruitment when it was obvious we needed replacements at CB, striker and attacking midfield. Nothing to do with arrogance or complacency - just poor decision making and lack of leadership at executive level.

    Josh Sims

No - Sims has already shown skills and attributes that mark him as good enough to make an impact at Prem level. That moment at Anfield alone, with his run, speed and perfectly weighted assist, was something you can't fluke.
  25. Josh Sims would/will be be an improvement on Redmond.
