It took me 5 months to buy an effing house this year, these things take time. As long as BT are in situ there is hope.... not time for the soap and razor blades yet.

If buyer was our ONLY bidder then: a) we would more than likely be ruined in the long run by this unprofessional outfit b) Mr Fry would know not to pish him/her/them off 3) don't be offended when you put up inflamatory remarks and people do not agree with them.

Both nickh and you are taking a lot of stick on this thread, mainly I'm sure down to how frustrated we all are with the predicament the club we love is in. Seriously though, the scenario above would paint Mr Fry in a particularly unprofessional light and I would suggest you stop from pursuing this line. Mr Fry is accountable to the creditors, if he ****es off a potential buyer I'm sure the creditors will hear about it in due course. Meanwhile, if a potential bidder is acting as unrealistically as you suggest then frankly we don't need them at our club.

Please God we do find someone willing to give our club the backing it needs. Also, if it's not too much to ask, that they also have the first clue on how to run a football club.

You don't just bid for the business that is in administration. You have to plan expenditure for the short and long term, therefore proving that you can sustain the business as an ongoing venture. Whilst also proving that you have the financial backing for this to take place. There will be brinkmanship on both sides. Even when we were solvent (or should that be surviving) we very rarely spent more on transfers in a season than we sold.

How on God's earth can you qualify that??

All very well and good.... surely, given the circumstances in your piece, the board should have looked for reassurance from the bank prior to the Admin cut off point? The boards actions were at best naieve and at worst totally disregarding the future of Southampton FC. To continue with the what if... how do you propose we would have sold the club and include an offering to the shareholders?? We appear to be struggling to sell without the offering.
