Only a moron would blame the fans for not giving Jones a chance, he had 6 fucking weeks in the mid season break to turn things around, with a settled squad, with enough quality in it (I get that's debatable) to compete, fight and play for the club. He did get some good results but then there was Forest, one of the lowest points of watching and supporting Saints, as poor a performance as I can remember. With hindsight, I'm ok with the shit we observed last season. When something is clearly broken and patching it up isn't working then you may as well destroy it and start again, both on and off the field.

Your “issue” with RM for me is actually one of his strongest attributes. Massive change was needed, he stuck to his philosophy and principles, allowed the building blocks of transformation to become solid as fuck. We had a blip in September where RM thought we were ready to take the next step in the journey but we weren’t, he’s taken that owned it and sorted it. He’s a seriously good manager, not everyone seems to be comfortable with that and are looking for reasons why he shouldn’t be recognised as such. We all make mistakes, reflect, own it and move on.

The team have come such a long way under Russell and his coaching staff. The early part of the journey was a difficult watch at times but forgivable because you could see what they were trying to achieve. Now it feels like the foundations are secure, we’re in contention for automatic promotion and, with a fair wind, I can only see us getting better and stronger.

Calling @Wade Garrett this thread is in desperate need of your impartial, polite and positive predictions. FFS we’re just starting to get going, we will have to fight to earn the right to win but cannot see anything but a convincing home win.
