I’m not sure you do know how City play or have played this treble winning season. One of the key tactics they did employ, particularly against a packed midfield, was to keep the ball at the back, wait until a midfielder lost patience and broke rank to which City would exploit the space the midfielder left. Case in point was the demolishing of Arsenal where Odegaard was tempted out again and again.

I’d be very disappointed if the new manager (Martin) is not in place by the end of June. Realistically, it should be this coming week in order to allow sufficient time to plan pre-season, sort through the transfers in and out etc etc.

There's too much change ahead for us to expect to hit the ground running at the start of the season. We will also have 5 weeks or so of a transfer window to contend with which I can see being an uncertain time for the squad and no doubt we will still be active with incomings. Whether your glass is half full or half empty, whether you agree with the new manager appointment or not; the team and new manager need some space to get things right. There's no point anyone shitting the bed in August.

As per my original point, if this is indeed the case, Swansea are being dicks, incurring the cost of Martin and his backroom staff for another week, month or however long they wish to by sticking to the letter of the clause rather than the spirit of it. Pathetic really.
