We need Cork back, but not as centre back. He was a solid performer last season, let's hope it's soon.

I'm sure last years team wouldn't have looked so shakey. Even first 2 games we didn't look that bad. It's the Arsenal game that destroyed us I think.

Umm. Where was the defence? Did no-one see him making a 60 yard dash into the box? One more and well maintain our average 3 goals against.

We just seem to be outpaced in every department. We look slow, hesitant, can't seem to get close to the man.

I agree we look disorganised. Even coming forwards we seem to get in each others way at times. Too many players pile forwards leaving us badly exposed in midfield. It's strange, he seems like a totally different manager this season. I am left wondering if there is more going on behind the scenes than we realise to be honest. He's made some silly mistakes which are uncharacteristic of him.

Isn't he out of position? Also has zero match practise lately.

I guess if he's not in the squad it makes sense. He needs match fitness and practise to improve. He could be first choice next year if we go down!

I think Adkins has lost the players. Can't see him turning it round. Mainly cos we need new and better defenders. Which won't happen till Jan. Odd Adkins hasn't been himself since the start. I doubt they are even taking bets on what looks certain defeat. Barring a miraculous change in quality.

Gazza didn't deserve to be dropped. Boruc should have been on the bench for now but somehow Davis remains in the team. Don't want to upset Davis? Hard to say but maybe Adkins struggles to make the hard decisions. Wants to remain friendly with everyone..

I also recall Adkins identifying our need. How come we didn't sort it? Either he over-estimated Yoshida or no-one else wanted to come here?

Unless we see some improvement we are on track to achieve this. Haven't we let in a record number of goals after 8 games than any team in Premier League history? Need some leadership at the back...
