  1. & 4 premiership managers have thought he was a prem player. Im sure joe knows best though
  2. Alpine give us a wave, alpine, alpine.............l.l.l,l
  3. Team sponsored by "one more signing is enough"
  4. Hearing that WBA & Newcastle are both ahead of us in race for Scott
  5. Any youtube best bits? Know he was supposed to be good at Swansea, but not seen much of him. Doubt many on here have either
  6. I have Glasgow_saint tattooed on my face
  7. what are you suggesting?
  8. I think some of our fans want him to join Fulham just so they can say "I told you so" on the whole "whose bigger" Fulham or Saints debate.
  9. not sure the price is a problem - think its more the players appetite to join us!!
  10. yes its a worry that we are still relying on De Ridder, Fox, Hoiveld, Fonte and Guly and or gambling on the new youngsters to deliver. Can see us making a decent start, then slipping down the table as the season and injuries takes its toll on the players/squad
  11. good post mate - its hard to follow this as its being debated on two seperate threads. Like you say the worry is that Fox/ Hoiveld/ Fonte/ Guly are still too close to our starting 11 and we are hoping that 2 or 3 youngsters come good.
  12. You could that is true - hopefully they will step up. I trust that Isgrove & Chambers are good talents so could be the same as two new signings. Just surprised that we are squeezing the 1st team squad so much. 14/15 out (potentially) and only 3 transfers in - knowing what we know about MoPo's style is a surprise.
  13. MoPo likes a high tempo / pressing style. This took its toll on the players very quickly last season and thats when squad rotation is vital. Plus we will pick up injuries to our best 11 during the season and the best clubs have quality back up. id be very worried if one or two from Boruc, Shaw, Schneiderlin Lovren got injured for a lenghy period. Its just my opinion that 3 players will not boost our finish position. The only recent example of any prem club making only 3 summer signings was Arsenal - this was refected in their lower league position.
  14. I meant 5 total not 5 more. We have 2 but think we would benefit from having 3 more. 3 in & 13 out (assuming Sharp, Hammond and De Ridder get moved on as expected) leaves us quite vulnerable imho
  15. Maybe mate - lets hope so. Agree that quality is better than quantity...... but I expected more than 3 as weve lost 10 this summer and our squad does not have much "quality" strengh in depth imho Especially for a team so vocal about its ambitions.
  16. 100% but imo we needed 2x CBs, 1 winger, Possible cover for FB's, 1 x striker. Possibly even cover for Boruc With all the talk of ambition and jumping up the table I expected 4-5 "quality" signings to replace the 9 released and 1 sold (so far)
  17. Yassine El Ghanassy (AA Gent) Ben Foster (Birmingham City) Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea) Loan Markus Rosenberg (Werder Bremen) Claudio Yacob (Racing Club de Avellaneda) Goran Popov (Dynamo Kiev)
  18. Q: what do all the top clubs have in common? A: Strengh in depth
  19. If we do only sign 3 players this summer ill be disappointed 3 signings all summer doesnt match the noises about "ambition"
  20. One with ambitions to jump up the league = never
  21. ahh good shout - I was miss reading the WIKI stats. Its the way they have split the goals by competitions/leagues So his record is 2011 played 51 scored 38 2012 played 43 scored 24 2013 played 18 scored 8 National team player 15 scored 3 Like you say 82 in 147 is v.good! Thanks
  22. Jamie Mackie handed in a transfer request. QPR wanted to keep him
  23. or stay where he is and score 10-15 The standard of the Brazil league is not that great - however his goal scoring record is not that brilliant (only 7 last season and 2 this season?) Last season he finished 35th in the top goal scorers list below 47 year old Clarence SEEDORF ffs
