My sister-in-laws laptop has stopped working and some help would be appreciated.It is out of warrenty but has had very little use. The fan runs and the screen backlight comes on but no cursor or any other activity on the screen.I have tried it without the battery-on mains supply only-but no difference. I have tried booting it from the disc but I assume from my searchs on the internet it may be the motherboard that is faulty.
