On Wednesday 23rd January 2008 George Burley was released from his SFC contract and one day later was introduced to the media as the new Scotland team boss. I for one was fed up with Burley's inept tactics, his team selection, his bizarre substitutions and his unwillingness to blame the players for not taking their chances ....... has anything changed in 12 months ? Only the Gin sales in the local offy have dropped (allegedly)

***saints to enter administration***

If this is true, and this is a leak then, as a PLC, Mr. Lowe will need to inform the city as anyone who has shares will sell ASAP. Only a small number traded in the last few days, so no sign of inside information being acted on yet. Not sure how the VAT dates fall, as with any business if they can't meet their financial obligations then they are insolvent... maybe it's the end of our quarter and we don’t have the money to pay it. Perhaps that is how they can be precise about the date we will need to go into administration? -
Bank involved in crisis meeting....
Sold To The Man @ The Bar replied to bigdavewatson's topic in The Saints
A board meeting could have been called yesterday, easy to do, it is just a formal meeting, not a public meeting like an AGM that shareholders can attend. Most of the Directors are there most of the time, Cowen, Wilde, Jones etc. The bank maybe need feedback as to what the board are doing about the situation, due diligence on their investment.... after all it is their money that keeps our club afloat today, maybe not tomorrow unfortunately -

This is Lowe's chance to say- JP was sacked as Mr. Wilde, as SFC Chairman, had lost faith in the manager (Blame MW) as SLH Chairman he still had my support. (Lowe not admitting he was wrong) Wait and see

Pass the ground on your left and carry on down Vicarage road, there is a school on your left (5 min walk) that charge to park, easy to get out

Agree, that is my point http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=8368

What are we trying to achieve ?
Sold To The Man @ The Bar replied to Sold To The Man @ The Bar's topic in The Saints
Ok maybe not, but it brings no media attention.. an empty ground may, that is my point. Only trying to offer another view and action -
Are we looking for a symbolic show to the media that we are a united fan base without damaging the club ? A pitch invasion would lead to a points deduction and should we be lucky enough to finish fourth from bottom how gutted would we be to have points taken from us and get relegated. Any damage of property or attack on the directors would finish in prosecution At every game there are TV cameras that show the highlights on Sky, BBC and ITV and digital cameras that print pics in most daily newspapers, what more a striking image than an empty stadium for their back pages, it only has to be for the first 10 mins or 45 mins if you want. Lets face facts none of us have the funds to buy this club and change it, so lets get the media working for us, if there is an empty ground at the start of the Swansea game it would be shown around the world as fan power, most media companies would phone Mr Lowe or Mr Wilde for a quote. If a number of us are happy to get to the game early and distribute leaflets calling on the boycott to pubs and outside the ground I’m happy to help organise it.

You should send it to the nationals at the same time, with a covering letter that outlines the state of the club and the reason why he should answer to the fans
-
Bravo ... We know Mr Wilde was both a poster and reader of this site in the past, it's time he gave us all a few answers, so Mr Wilde will you reply to the questions above?
-
Bit harsh !

We are looking relegation in the face, I have just had a quick look at the number of games left (22) and our form over the last 22. We have conceded 35 and scored only 19 picking up a total of 22 points, if we continue this level of form we will end up on 41 points, for the last 4 seasons the third from bottom cub has been relegated with more points. Last 22 games Against – 35 For - 19 W – 4 D - 7 L – 11 Pts – 19 + 22 = 41 07/08 Leicster 52 06/07 Southend 42 05/06 Crewe 42 04/05 Gillingham 50
