As a footballer ..he is not my cup of tea. Bearing in mind his circumstances over the years...I wish him the best of luck and hopefully he will win himself a contract in January..
-
Steve is certainly a goalscorer. But at both Oxford and Exeter he was injured a great deal of the time and for every goal he scored he was not available or fully fit for the next 5-10 games. On his day as, proved in that cup tie he is a Gary Lineker/Jimmy Greaves. I always liked his play and attitude but worth the gamble...Maybe at Conference level the last 4-5 years.

It was this forum and in particular certain posters that first attracted David to join , The mighty Saints. He was up for the challenge between day one and nineteen when he was approached in the canteen:smt062

He was told a lot of ' Queens' came into Southampton:smt029.. He obviously mis understood and spent a lot of time down at The Juniper Berry in Southampton.....He then overheard a couple of Saints fans saying after one particular game..we have a few girlie boyzz playing for the mighty Saints. He supported The Saints thereafter. -
The delldays Admiral Having mentioned The pompey sailor boyzz....I have to go amongst them in a few weeks time for a PTI reunion 4th/5th Dec...now that will be..a formation and a half. A few ex Pompey RN players amongst them. Big games for me playing against them for Netley Central etc. We have to watch a qualifiers passing out parade at Burnaby Road.. Formation/strictly come dancing with Ribbons and big beach balls...Not like the old formations when the ships were made of WOOD and the men were made of STEEL......They asked if anyone wanted to watch football on Saturday.....I said NO thanks.. of course Saints are away to Walsall....I think they were implying Pompey. From your Vice Admiral ...osm

They were burning barrels again the other night here in Ottery land. The House fire was something else..unless one striker took his barrel home with him..... The barrel boyzz Formation.. at times was a bit like Saints last season..... All over the place with a lot of ..:rolleyes:Hope and pray.

Freddie Mercury and Queen singing, ' We are The Champions' ......Freddie was a Saints supporter really. -
TDD has spent too much time amongst those Pompey Sailors.....He may have been got at.

Can see the relief in the Managing Directors face this morning. We are winning..we have won again and she can see, her little second in command, is in a far better position to complete the increased list of Saturday tasks she has issued. But I still feel a whole lot better nowadays and having got a result on a Friday it definitely gives Saturday.. a stress free feel about it.

Great win ..no matter what..Through to the next round. We have some class players with some very good hard working team players. To me Adam Lallana is class and if watched with other than a Pompey eye..you see clearly that this footballer is truly the business...With the other ingredients you have the rise..once again of the mighty Saints.....Connolly and Lambert up front.....You could not have dreamed this a few months ago. Personal choice....Alford from Wolves....Versatility and big and strong Right back or midfield. Sorry...Greg Halford..6' 4" Many clubs but only 26 years......Would be good for us as he has lost his way and ready to be coached by a top coaching team Pards and staff.
-
His all round experience will make him an asset for the club...Reserves and Youth with Puckett and Henderson and maybe some scouting of other teams......Again..Pards selection no doubt and therefore we should trust in Pards and the powers to be. A valuable addition to the training/coaching staff. COYRs

Hugh Lindsay of Kingstonians....Amateur International who would not give up his career...Very good footballer. COYRs Hugh might have been late 50s 60s?
