Agreed. Although I'd wager that Long is probably one of the best suited players to it. The main thing is how quickly he can get tactical ideas across & how much extra stamina he can get into them.

Yeah, will be interesting to see what happens. I remember he's had a few injury problems, but his run before Puel played him against Everton was his absolute peak. He was blindingly too good for the U23's & carried that form into the Checkatrade matches too. Grabbed himself 4 assists in 1 match IIRC.

Going to need to shift some deadwood before we do, I reckon. Going to be interesting to see who can adapt to the new system.

I almost think it would be more beneficial to drop down an extra level like Hesketh & get more game time & have more impact lower down than be a sub in the championship. He's still only 21.
