We did OK without VvD for half of last season... But I'm pretty sure that was probably down to Claude's coaching. I'm not sure Saints selling VvD, with MP's coaching is a recipe to avoid relegation.

Good post. This season has been remarkably pattern-less. The only consistent thing about us is we struggle to score goals.

That result isn't isolated either. They always tend to concede loads of goals.

For me, Puel's reign should always have the caveat that we sold all of our goals & attacking threat prior to his arrival. The only player who scored for us consistently after that, got injured for half a season along with our captain & best player. Sure, his interviews were dull, but he was clearly a competent coach who improved a fair few players during his stint. I wish him well (apart from his next game).

Joined from Bury, I believe. I think he's a winger & with players like him, we just have to wait and see how he gets on. Will be interesting to see if he gets any U23 games before the end of the season. On a side-note, this thread is awesome. Over land and sea does a top job on this.

Indeed. Tadic not had the best of seasons, but in his defence it's hard to assist in a side that doesn't have any goals!

Exactly. Pretty much sums Everton up though. They've got massive resources, but that one would surely only come off if absolutely nobody else goes in for him & Dortmund consider his bridges well & truly burned.
