Posted the same link above. Would Lander have trouble getting access to money from China even if this all goes through?

RODGERS WANTS ROBERTS RETURN Brendan Rodgers says Celtic will be in for Patrick Roberts if the forward is allowed to leave Manchester City this season. "It's something we would look at," he said. "Pat would be amazing for here. I think everyone could see that. "But it all goes down to, one, Manchester City and how they see his future there. He has gone away on tour with them and got some game time. They will make a decision after that. "Two, the boy might not want to come back. He might want to play in the Premier League if he has somewhere to do that. He might fancy a spell in Europe. But what he knows is that he has a great place here if it comes to that. "The club can bring him here. It's more going to be whether the player sees this as the next step for him."

Would be happy with that. But, if we assume the telegraph story is true and we are looking to add 2 players, I'm going to guess we go for an attacking midfielder & hopefully a speedy wing forward. I'd love a partner for Romeu, but I think the club will feel Clasie/Hojbjerg/Davis is sufficient. I think there's mileage in the old Stuart Armstrong story. They will see the value in it and it's quite a Saints type of signing.

I like Wimmer. Left footed. Good player. Spurs want £20m for him & Im just not sure we'd be in for him if VvD stays.

Sounds like he's doing well... http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/southampton-ace-harrison-reed-is-a-key-man-for-norwich-city-1-5124395

He meant it, didn't he? Hasn't even done his annual end of season interview.

It's SO quiet this window isn't it? We weren't exactly prolific last season by this stage though. Redmond arrived Late June & Hojbjerg appeared out of nowhere mid-July. We then had a flurry of 4 signings throughout August. Vic & Sadio were sold in Late June though to prove that we normally like money in the bank before making signings.

And what if Sims is out for months with a knee injury?

Unfortunately one started by a random bloke on Twitter, as best as I can tell.

Has that story come from anywhere decent? I see it on Twitter, but can't find where it originated.

Part of me has wondered whether this has been on the cards all summer, as Liverpool have been very keen to tell everyone that they are after 2x £65m players & that's a hell of an outlay for them. If Coutinho does actually go, they really are going to be in a position where they need to land both VvD AND Keita . -
I'm becoming more pessimistic & sceptical as I get older in regards to Saints. When he was doing his Twitter updates showing his comeback from injury, I would cynically think to myself that he's probably doing that to show interested parties, rather than Saints fans. How depressing that that was probably true.

Arsenal IMO.

Agree. Or it's just sky skullduggery to mess with the betting. Let's see if any of the usual Liverpool media stooges run with anything in the next 15 mins...

@SkyKaveh: Source close to Virgil Van Dijk expects him to be Liverpool player by end of window. No suggestion LFC have done anything since apology

Could see this happening once the champs league qualifiers are done.
