To me, the Forster going & us wanting a young no.2 feels like something we’d do. The City keeper certainly fits the profile. A prem move for him, but not so far down the squad that he’d never play.

Aside from the main part of it re: Ralph

"Ralph Hasenhuttl still has the backing of the Southampton hierarchy despite increasing fan pressure on his position as manager... with the Austrian set to be backed in the transfer market this summer to overhaul his Saints squad" https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10802693/Ralph-Hasenhuttl-backing-Southampton-hierarchy.html

Correct. Max Alleyne left last summer before signing scholarship terms

Need all the help we can get. Should be a very good game.

Great listen as always. Cheaper than therapy, too!

MLT’s changes to the medical department would be interesting to witness.

Sad times when I found myself peering at goal difference just now…

Didn’t Bamford get 5 or 6 ? pretty sure the Chelsea hoover gobbled him up soon after.

Good player by all accounts. Shame about where the link comes from. Fits the bill with the Telegraph story about the “new, young No.2”

What’s crazy (I completely forgot this) is we finished bottom of the table last season.

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25
SuperSAINT replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
Not too surprising, but Benni Smales-Braithwaite & Ramello Mitchell have both said they leaving on Instagram. Both obviously out of contract on @Over land and sea's opening post. -
His name keeps appearing… http://sportwitness.co.uk/southampton-trying-sign-18-goal-striker-pl-dream-e20m-release-clause/

What an achievement. Brilliant.

Will be interesting to see if this turns up online soon…

From the article: It is unclear when Glover can begin his new role, with Leicester determined for the Englishman to oversee their summer business and Southampton wanting him to do the same before departing. If Southampton demand Glover’s notice period be served — he is currently involved in planning their activity and the hierarchy expect this to continue — they will utilise him until the autumn and Leicester will have to proceed with their existing structure, led by director of football Jon Rudkin. But should an agreement be found for his release, Leicester would be able to take advantage of Glover’s expertise for a key stretch of trading and Southampton would need to adapt accordingly.

Read reports earlier saying he looked class at centre-back today for the B team
