Just one win in our last 7 premier league home games. Not good enough. Showed how much we relied on Lallana, he had an off day and we created virtually zilch. I know we scored 2 but that was a free kick and a fluke. Rodriguez was awful, Lambert not much better after the goal. Best player for me today was Davis. Why we didn't buy a striker to replace Osvaldo I cannot fathom, we were crying out for some fresh impetus 2nd half, yet our only sub to come on was Chambers. A very poor bench.

Created nothing 2nd half. Been very poor. Our lack of options off the bench is a worry as well.

Dire half to be fair. Boruc keeping us in it. Far top much sloppy passing, far too many passengers at present. Only saving grace is that it's 0-0 and surely we can't play that bad again 2nd half..

Agreed. I said after the Villa game he was a liability who never seems to make any saves. Nothing he has done since has changed my mind. Pathetic really that all our good work earlier this season is being undone by a complete lack of forward planning. It didn't take a mind reader to say we needed backup in this area.

Feeling very confident today, and if it wasn't for Gazzaclowna in goal I would expect us to record a comfortable 2-0 or 3-0 victory. However given his penchant for not saving anything, think we will win with a nervy 3-2.

Starting to think we need a replacement for Lambert, he was pretty ineffectual again this afternoon and gave the ball away far too frequently. Rodriguez is developing into some player, with a bit more confidence in himself he could really reach for the stars, and the least said about Gazzaniga the better. He is not good enough for this level. Nothing he has done in his Saints career lets me believe he can be a future regular between the sticks for us, poor decision making and looks like a startled cat in goal most of the time.
