  1. I've had us down and out since Newcastle the rest of the season is just death by a thousand cuts. Mathematically we might still be in with a chance but there seems a total lack of fight from the players or leadership at the club things you need in a relegation battle. Even if we somehow pull off a win today I still think we are going down.
  2. Imagine how confused we are going to be if (by some miracle) we win the FA cup this season and get relegated. The players will be the greatest bunch of worst players we've ever had
  3. but we won't.... we've being saying something similar every week for a while now sadly the players don't seem to agree I expect another inept display of half arsedness from the players with us being undone by a lack of concentration or unenforced cock up.
  4. By who? and what sort of money where they offering? Also I don't see to many people defending the current transfer strategy we got away with it for a while but it is a strategy that requires spot on recruitment which has failed badly the last couple of years hence our current issues. Having said that comparing saints in the lower leagues with saints in the PL is like comparing apples and oranges.
  5. You think automatic promotion then ...
  6. Play offs next season ...
  7. I'm still of the opinion the semi final shouldn't be at Wembley at all. Wembley should the final only. It just feels like the FA trying to milk the football co and dilutes the experience of the final. A day out at Wembley is an expensive thing especially when paying for kids as well and not something I can justify doing twice within a couple of months. If I'm going to shell out it's going for the final not the semi I doubt I'm the only one thinking like that.
  8. I don't remember any major interest in Fonte, Lambert or Lallana in the lower leagues and certainly nothing to compare with Liverpool's aggressive attempts to sign half a team of Saint's players we have had the last few years.
  9. blimey I don't think they will get far he has a girlfriend I believe...
  10. We should have clearly sold Lambert for a million to Ipswich what a profit we would have made on him..
  11. That is so much like fending off Liverpool or Man U its uncanny..... One player (that we know of) was courted by a proper (sorry Ipswich) big club while we were in the lower leagues and Nik Nak folded like a house of cards and flogged him to Arsenal because his dad was being awkward..
  12. That's part of the advantage of being a ST holder always has been always will be it's a reward for stumping up the cash for a whole season before a ball has even been kicked and I have no problem with that. I'll admit I didn't take up my ticket as a ST holder for the semis. A day out to Wembley is an expensive business and I'm not in the position to afford it for myself and number one son twice in the back end of one season so I'm optimistically keeping my powder dry for the final.
  13. It's not whenever a nipper comes through though is it? Luke Shaw was generally accepted to be a good player same for Oxo, Walcott, Bale even Chambers when he was here. Sims is another one people are generally impressed with even McQueen and Gallagher are players people are willing to give a chance to. If any thing youth boys normally get and easier ride because they are "one of our own"
  14. I don't think so (Sims apart). Long is just a **** poor player plenty of effort just not very good.
  15. Targett is no where near the level Shaw was for us.
  16. I lost all respect for Leicester fans after they started turning on a guy who had won them the PL only six months earlier....
  17. That's what happens when you sell Pelle and Mane and then hope Charlie Austin will stay fit and Redmond will become a world beater....
  18. No team with our current CBs and strikers will ever be comfortably be top 10 unless we are in league 1. Personally I've had enough of people defending this bunch of over paid, underperforming ****s. I have very little affinity with the current players who talk a good game (much like the club hierarchy) but are totally unable to deliver on the pitch. Week after week we are let down by this bunch of players and people still want to claim its not their fault and they are a good team.
  19. So the question has to be why have the players have not responded to Puel leaving by putting in better performances this season they got what they wanted and have responded by being even more turd. It's hard to escape the conclusion that the players are a bigger part of the problem than the managers. To many average players who think they are better than they are.
  20. I think what the second half of Puel's season showed was how poor our squad was becoming, the warning signs where there for all to see, but most put it down to the manager. We are now on our third manager in two seasons and the biggest constant thing is the lack of individual quality in our players at both ends of the pitch when it matters. Puel's season showed we needed a reliable regular goal scorer, proper pace for the counter attack, a midfielder with some vision and goals in them, another solid DM and better CB options two transfer windows latter the club managed to not really fix any of those problems.
  21. Players rule at Leicester so no doubt Puel will be gone soon. Luckily for us once the players got what they wanted with Puel leaving they really upped their game this season...
  22. wouldn't that require some pace in the side. What will end up happening on the break will be Long isolated up on his own with no team mates in support Tadic makes no sense if we are aiming to keep it tight and play on the break.
  23. A major flaw in the plan there. You could drive a bus through the space our CBs leave at the back and we better hope we don't get a corner otherwise Arsenal will score on the break..
  24. don't worry he will drop her soon...at least she won't need to worry about him coming outside the box.....
