  1. Lots of the early home games this season were claimed to be sell outs iirc but the stadium never looked close to full. I seem to remember Nordic Saint saying it was proof of our awesome fan base and that a stadium expansion should be on the cards.
  2. It will be easier to just to list the ones I'd keep Lemina...
  3. Everton are in a row with the Dutch FA after it has emerged that the Toffees are now paying the large majority of his current wage as manager of the Netherlands, according to The Liverpool Echo. https://a.msn.com/r/2/AAvePWf?m=en-gb
  4. Southampton Football Club publish their gender pay report http://www.bing.com/cr?IG=D9C727B96CA84C558733A3BBC75E7E5F&CID=3CEF2A474F9763AF37E221FD4E56629B&rd=1&h=kKxQIhq4AcM6nD0p8ytyZoh9kDB92qkmvnX_YBvjOH4&v=1&r=http%3a%2f%2fwww.dailyecho.co.uk%2fsport%2f16122061.Saints_committed_to_gender_equality%2f&p=DevEx,5025.1
  5. Got injured after about three games I think.
  6. 5 Most Underrated Strikers in the English Premier League 5. Charlie Austin http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651530FFE51&tid=41E9386A777F4700B88EB36EEA6BE2F4&url=https%3a%2f%2fwww.sportskeeda.com%2ffootball%2f5-most-underrated-strikers-in-the-english-premier-league&c=12491332313667609616&mkt=en-gb Have to wonder how this season would have gone if Austin had stayed fit...
  7. That's for sure when Rickie played for us a penalty was as good as a goal you just expected him to score Now we seem to miss as many as we score when you see the likes of Tadic or Gabbi step up it doesn't fill you with confidence.
  8. Taste testing the half time pies?
  9. TBH with his performances this season I doubt that any of the big boys are that interested. I really like Cedric, his goal last weekend was really good but in the end there is no getting away from the fact he has been poor this season his crossing in particular has been awful.
  10. Yep happy to pay him to sit in the treatment room with a bad back. I think this a great idea we should take further maybe we could get Channon in, on a short term deal to the end of the season, to give us a bit of pace upfront? Maybe we could tempt MLT to come out of retirement to save us with a bit of relegation magic. We could shore up the back line by getting Claus Lundekvam and killer to turn out as well..
  11. I have to say if we do stay up I hope the plan to improve our squad is not built around buying up a load of Stoke players. Hopefully all these links to Hughes ex players is just abit of lazy click bait journalism.
  12. Hopefully Shane Long, Clasie, Targett, Gabbi, Gudio, Boufal, Reed, Davis, Forster, JWP, Redmond, Hoedt and Stephens.
  13. I've seen two stories so far for players Hughes wants to sign both of them Stoke players seems a bit obvious though. Surely the black box won't suddenly discover a gold mine of untapped talent in Stoke....
  14. Conversion rates for shots to goals for our strikers this season mmmm... Shane Long 4% (25 shots in 1300 minutes) https://southamptonfc.com/first-team/shane-long Gudio a big fat 0% (9 shots in 618 minutes) https://southamptonfc.com/first-team/guido-carrillo Gabbi 20% (20 shots in 1100 minutes) https://southamptonfc.com/first-team/manolo-gabbiadini Austin 26% (23 shots in 675 minutes of football) https://southamptonfc.com/first-team/charlie-austin says it all. It doesn't really matter if you play 1 up or 2 up just as long as who ever is up there is Austin it seems.
  15. Ryan Bertrand has got to be in there surely? After losing Luke Shaw I thought we would struggle to find another LB as good and most people wrote Bertrand off at the start but he has been great value for the money we paid for him.
  16. It's not just about how many strikers you have but the quality of the ones you have. Last season we finished bottom of the shots to goals conversion rate table with 10.7% of our 384 shots converted into goals http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/chancenverwertung/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2016 This season we've improved and are second to bottom with 11.1% of 262 shots http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/chancenverwertung/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2017 Koeman's last season we had a conversion rate of 15.5% and 380 shots (four less than under Puel) http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/chancenverwertung/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2015
  17. Had he stayed fit I doubt we'd even been worrying about relegation. Our only natural scorer is Austin.. sure he looks a bit on the tubby side, slow, unfit and not actually that good at the football stuff but he has the one ****ing thing a striker needs the ability to actually score goals.
  18. We were at the point where anyone would be better so positive feelings are no surprise. Hughes has a nice honeymoon period at the moment where he is great by virtue of not being MoPe.
  19. Its not just the crowd numbers though is it. Playing all their home games at Wembley means the spurs players know the pitch inside out they have the advantage of just feeling more comfortable there which is a big psychological advantage in a pressure game like a cup final.
  20. Bang average is usual good enough to beat us though...
  21. Did he get the assist for Hoj's goal? From the replay I saw looked like he made a run to the front post and flicked the corner on for Hoj to score?
  22. We haven't had a committed defence all season so it can't be that...
  23. You just know we are going to lose to Puel in the final.
  24. TBF imagine if it was the other way around with MoPe we would probably be the same.
